“KRAFTWERKING MAN” – Buddy Peace remixes “Working Man”!

“KRAFTWERKING MAN” – Buddy Peace remixes “Working Man”!

“KRAFTWERKING MAN” is a full-length redux of Prolyphic & Buddy Peace‘s 2013 SFR album “Working Man”, recreated and reassembled by Buddy Peace himself, using building blocks from the catalog of legendary German electro-pop pioneers Kraftwerk!

Mr. Peace himself weighs in on the history of the project:

“I always had something in mind for some kind of alternate version of our album, some kind of remix project of some sort… I wanted to make it in a certain frame though and have some kind of concept – and when the ‘Kraftwerking Man’ title hit me all the smoke disappeared and that was my concept.

Kraftwerk are true pioneers and I love them dearly, and I’ve always wanted to get dirty with their back catalogue so this was the ideal chance. And Pro sounds ill over their music so it worked out great!”

“KRAFTWERKING MAN” is a FREE DOWNLOAD available here for your enjoyment. Please spread it around!

B. Dolan & Buddy Peace – “Fallen House Remixed: The Desert Sessions”

Buddy Peace has remixed B. Dolan’s “Fallen House, Sunken City” album in its entirety!

We proudly present to you “DESERT SESSIONS” as FREE DOWNLOAD!

Limited edition CD’s + the digital version with separated tracks available now here.

Words from Buddy Peace in regard to this remix project:
“One day B. Dolan gave me access to the vocal tracks for ‘Fallen House, Sunken City’. I took the rest of the week off with enough coffee to lubricate a small newsroom and gave myself the task of remixing one of my favourite hip hop albums in recent years.

The relentless bump and heft of the original beats always killed me, and rather than try and match what Alias created first time round, I decided to raid the stoner metal and desert sludge rock crates to form new beats for B to absorb, to try and make it bang in a different way than before. I wanted to create my own kind of sludge-feast, my own kind of desert sessions.B’s original blueprint is all there, but this time I’m dragging you through the desert by your ankles.

You’re welcome. NEVER STOP TO REST.”

The OG version of “Fallen House, Sunken City” is available on vinyl, CD + MP3 here: http://tinyurl.com/FallenHouse

Metermaids – Graveyard Shift

METERMAIDS, a Brooklyn-based duo consisting of emcees Sentence and Swell, often refer to themselves as “the Bad News Bears of hip-hop.” However, after teaming up with the X-Ecutioners DJ Rob Swift, receiving production from Grammy Award Winner 9th WONDER, and pulling in vocal contributions from indie-hop legends SAGE FRANCIS & BUCK 65, their “ROOFTOP SHAKE” LP is set to turn that self-deprecation on its head.

Sage Francis – Hey Bobby

FREE DOWNLOAD!

Written/recorded by Sage Francis in 2004.
Beat by Reanimator.

LYRICS:
By the time the flags rotted off of their antennas,
they were questioning who the real threat is.
Big Brotherly love is the 21st century’s plague.
No matter how bloody the glove, question evidence displayed.

Don’t forget what two plus two equals.
Don’t let them upgrade your math no matter what they have as proof of evil.
Remember when they went after the Jewish people?
You don’t recognize that same black mask as see through?

Attack of the eagles. If they don’t fall dead
before they reach me, I’ll be damned if I don’t shoot one in its bald head.
Fuck what we’re force fed. All I ever wanted
was a warm bed and a house that wasn’t haunted.

I’d rather die for a cause than to die just because
we exhausted natural resources, forced into wars,
restoring wasteful ways, keeping other countries poor.
“Monkey see, Monkey do.” I wonder what those fucking monkeys saw.

“Unpopular Demand (AUPHEUS Remix)” – Prolyphic & Buddy Peace

AUPHEUS (London, UK) puts his signature doom-bap twist on this remix of PROLYPHIC & BUDDY PEACE’s “Unpopular Demand.”

While still remaining uptempo, the rhythm switches to a dancehall type pattern as Prolyphic’s vocals are cast over cosmic, ominous soundscapes. All underlaid by throbbing, overdriven bass kicks. Adjust your low end. Move your ass. Download it for free.

Digital and CD package deals of the “Working Man” LP are available here: www.tinyurl.com/WorkingManLP

Aupheus’ instrumental album, EXCAVATED, is here: www.tinyurl.com/Aupheus
