Least Favorite Sage songs  Reply with quote

every couple months someone makes a "post your favorite Sage songs!" thread, and everyone posts lists of songs, and its boring. Also I am bored.

So who's gonna join me in not riding his nuts, and being honest about songs we really don't like?

For me, its Climb Trees. I know a lot of people here love that song, but for me, I just have some sort of revulsion to it. I don't know why. Its just my least favorite Sage song.

what are yours.

it's funny that a negative thread about sage appears just after he disses 2pac..... probably unrelated but that's the first thing i thought of!.......

and i don't dislike any sage track from a lyrical point of view.... they all offer at least some wonderful line or verse.... only from a beat stand point, and i can't really think of any off hand......

Narcissist (new edition)

Narcissist is one of my DEFINITE favorites lyrically, but I feel the new edition of it doesn't have the same feel as that radio recording on sick of waiting tables that I have grown so fond of. I think the beat in itself is very cool, and there's nothing I particularly dislike about the track really, but it just doesn't have that casual atmosphere of the first one. So therefor I am still turning to that first recording of it most of the times that I need to hear this song. Thus, it's my least favorite, and the one I could do without the most.

man, that's like one of my faves...the bassline alone holds that song up.

I agree, the new beat, no.

Also embarrased, Eyedea is way annoying on that.

you all suck for not liking Climb Trees.

My least favorite is Narcissist. I know a lot of people like it, but please stop encouraging the man to keep putting it out on various releases. It's on two sick of's, and the makeshift patriot ep...it'll probably be on Hope too, knowing my luck. I don't like it conceptually, I don't like Sage's voice, because it sounds kind of weak on that song, and the beat is also my least favorite Joey Beats beat.

man i like "Climb Trees" and "Narcissist" im not feeling "No Starts" it doesn't seem to go anywhere. i downloaded it from the internet so im not sure about its backround or anything so that might be why i think it pales in contrast to other songs.

this whole part of the album really. the production is just kinda weak. just gets too slow and weird and unpleasing. PJ is a long album and it sounds like filler. though, there are some cool poems within.

No Starts fucking sucks. It's from the AOI project. All those songs are booty to me. They definitely go nowhere. They sound like shit. They were put together on the fly. Old shit. And this is one major issue of mine with downloading songs. haha...people download shitty songs out of context.

"Did you hear that new No Starts song by Sage? Man, he's gettin wack"

Right now it looks like Narcissist is winning the shitty song contest. Surprising.
