Whats up, allow me to introduce my self, my name is Calypso of ABD Productions, on September 27th I will be hosting T.K.O.T.R., (The King Of The Ring) a brand new national emcee battle event held in Miami. The concept of the event is just as it sounds, 32 emcees going head to head in a boxing ring, in a huge boxing gym. We are basically looking for 32 of the Nations best Emcees to compete in the tournament. The unique battle set-up is designed to make the fight to the top more interesting. Every time a contestant advances to the next round he or she will acquire a prize, courtesy of our sponsors. As the competition advances so do the prizes.

Round 1: A Gear Assortment courtesy of Tribal Gear, Wildstyle Technicians, Good Ink, and UFO Jeans.

Round 2: A Yellow Rat Bastard Magazine Subscription

Round 3: A Jansport Live Wire, which is a back pack with built in headphones, CD booklet, CD player holder, and volume control.

Round 4: A Mad player, which is a portable MP3 player, Beat Maker, and Vocal Recorder.

Round 5: $1000.00 cash.

As you can see whoever wins the entire event has a lot to gain. I am contacting you because you are an established battler, and if you are interested, to give you the opportunity to register for the competition now before the public is informed. You can check out more information on our website at http://www.tkotr.com give it a look and reply to this email, or by AIM: CalypsoABD to let me know if you are or aren’t interested in competing. Whether or not you are interested id still like to hear from you just to know if you got the email.

Peace,
Tyrone “Calypso” Gordon
ABD Productions

This might excite a 16 yr old rave rapper. Not me.

sponsored prizes? a boxing ring? haha.

God damn 8 Mile

I have nothing against you since I don't know you, but I hope this flops.

thanks for asking me to be a part of it, but it is the furthest thing from what I would like to be involved with. Sorry.

thanks, argot. it's great to be back home.

NOW...don't let my attitude toward this shit detract any of you up and comers from exploiting a possible opportunity.

If you have any interest in this, go for broke.

what kind of top prize is that? 1000 buck?

most emcees get that per show guaranteed. at this shit you'd have to compete for it. haha. and all the sponsor prizes lick balls.

as little as he's paying the emcees, just think what he stands to gain.

if even half of his goal roster signs on, who knows how much he'll make on ticket sales, merchandise, whatever he skimmed from sponsors... and from selling the audio on a cd later.

yea, i could easily see $1000 at a local show. but he's going for a national event type atmosphere. trying to lure in artists who make that much per show each night... who knows how many he's gonna have, and in the end only 1 person gets paid that amount. the rest get wack runner up prizes.

i think its lame and he's gonna fall far short of what he expects... unless he gets that grand prize up to a 'national event' amount. shouldnt be hard to do seeing as how he doesnt mind using sponsors.

holy shit I could just advance to the second round and get that free magazine subscription I've always wanted!!!

for a national comp, 1000 bucks ain't much. If he's trying to attract top flight talent anyway...this could give some deserving people some shine, though

and it'll probably feature a lot of guys that suck ass as well

you gotta love the dude giving away a backpack...lol
