Mentioning the Coen Bros movies made me think of one of my favorite (and way underappreciated) actors: John Turturro. Just based solely on his performance in Barton Fink he deserves mad props, but add to that the fucking brilliant (and largely improved) scene in Miller's Crossing where he's begging for his life in the forest, and damn, every scene of every movie he's in is so solid.

I liked him in Splash in 1984... he seemed to fall off after that. Hopefully he'll get another role sometime before he's washed up.
