Most people I know haven't seen the following movies:

Buddy Boy (dark and funny film about a schizophenic falling in love)
City of Lost Children (man steals children's souls in futuristic world. French, I believe)
Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy working with time (nature artist makes his art and talks about it in an amazing documentary that is in theaters now)
The Cruse (Speed Levitch, who was in Waking Life, philosophizes and talks about his life in this interesting documentary)
Man Bites Dog (mockumentary about a serial killer. very funny and disturbing)
Kikujiro (japanese gangster helps little kid find his mom)
The Emperor and the Assassin (Japanese war epic)

Mmmm...

Angel Dust (1997? --very interisting Japanese Thriller)

M (1935?---First sound film, thriller, B&W, German With english subtitles)

Crumb (1995----Doc. on famous comic book artist R. Crumb)

Notorious (1945---Hitchcock's best)

Vampire's Kiss (1989 Nick Cage--no doubt, the strangest Vampire film ever--ALVAAA!!!!!)

Belle Dou Jour (196?---Buniel's neato movie about a lady of the afternoon)

My Friend Totoro (1988-- for anyone who doesn't like japanese Animation, it will change your mind)

Citizen Ruth (1996--very slept on film, about abortion--or is it?)

Audition (2001----watch out-- not for the faint of heart)

The Harder they Come (Jimmy Cliff--1970's in Jamica(sp?)--about reaggae music, if you can stand it)

Spellbound (2003---Documentary out right now, very good, about spelling bee's)

xxxxxAnd for cinephiles, who think i am weak for some of my choicesxxxxx

Bigger than Life (1956---James Mason-- most prints were destroyed because of its lurid content for breaking motion picture code in the 50's--no copies on video were ever released---if you are a fan of the Shining, and wonder where Kubrick got some of his ideas, they are very obviously plundered from this film. However, I doubt you will have any luck finding it.)

WHO'S THE FILM GEEK????
THAT'S RIGHT!!!!!!

I caught the last 15 minutes of that movie and it made me laugh...but it was overly over the top with that alien shit...i'll see it eventually though, it got me intrigued.
