c'mon now, there was a number of positive posts about this at the epitaph site. Not EVERYONE there was so close-minded.

Yes, but the negative ones are the only funny posts. Who wants to read a bunch of congratulations? That shit is boring, controversy is what is interesting. For more information, see this thread.

Congrats indeed.
Good to hear that you've found a label that has genuine interest in your music and not just your earning power. I look forward to hearing what you'll be doing in the future, and hope to hear you on random tracks with random punk acts.

I hope this all works out well for you! I am sure it will. Good work, Sage - knock this one out the park.

Punkorama 8 will be in the shops on Monday 19th May in the UK folks - I'm sure it states this on the Epitaph site, so apologies for the repetition.

This is very exciting!

I knew Sage's music before he became mainstream! :-P

No, seriously. For me, what you were doing was art. Whether people with turned-around hats(or whatever accessoir is considered elite at the moment) or people with food-stamps and unexplicable stains on their trousers listen to your stuff doesn't change you stuff. It will still be art.
You can finally do what you always wanted to do in a less restrictive way - don't be afraid to use those new means because they're not 'underground' anymore. And don't be tempted by those who aren't.
To sum this gibberish up: do what you want to do, not what other people think you aught to be doing.

peace,
aka

Then It was offspring and Blink-182. Now Epitaph is in the same catagory as the rest of the punk rock sell-outs. At least we still have Victory Records.

Well, thank Heavens for small favors!

Rumor has it that Sage signed to Epitaph in exchange for a $100,000 platinum "SAGE" medallion--with Gucci link, mind you. He's no fool.

it's also funny cuz Victory Records has a distribution deal with MCA

Sage, the first thing you must do (if you haven't already) is go get an iced-out epitaph medallion.......if only to piss off those so called 'real punks'.
