again, I KNEW people like this...these are the people I used to chill with every DAY

if they weren't talking about pussy they were talking about masturbation or porn

seriously...it's no joke. I'm not judging people that I don't know here

Well, obviously, if you're that addictive about anything it's detrimental. Whether or not it's sex.

you know....if the guys had been in highschool or something....I would have understood to some extent (though you're still letting your urges control you...which isn't good)

but these were college kids

I don't see how anybody can say that there is nothing wrong with letting your sexual urges control you all the time

substitute "sexual" for anything and it's still a bad thing in my book

Well, yeah, if you're addicted to anything to the point of having negative effects on you or others, then it's "bad." Why even bother singling out sex?

well in this case it had nothing to do with addiction

more with just looking for acceptance and trying to be cool around your guy friends

cause shit forbid you actually talk about something that matters...then you have your own mind and you can't be part of the group anymore

Well, you used the word "SLAVE" which I read to imply some sort of addiction. Sorry if that was too bold of a reading on my part.

But, I would argue that if we're talking about friends looking for acceptance and/or trying to be cool around each other, that we're talking about something else completely-- namely the social importance and male "coolness" of having sex. And, this social importance and double standard is something we all seem to agree is effin' BS.

So, I'm getting a bit confused here.

I think it most instances "being part of the group" is so subconscious people don't even notice it

especially dumb college kids. It came down to, if you're not like us and talking about girls and trying to get ass all the time, then you must be gay and you can't be that cool if you're gay so get out of here. I quickly got the hell out of there. I seriously tried talking about other things with the guys...all I got was looks or "uhhhh I don't know"

it's all rooted on insecurites and stupidity if you ask me...but it's not like they're not really horny too

Hah. Alright, well, my main question to you now is: why do you hang out with these people every day? They don't sound like the most stimulating of people to surround yourself with.

yes and lets forget that the word slut has do to with sex and not with anything else...and that sex and music are two completely different things because you can make and listen to music by yourself with no other people involved.

And also that the music isn't hurt when you stop listening to it. That music has no feelings and it doesn't have other friends and that music has no family that has to listen to you cry in your room cause a guy doesn't "like" you anymore

please...

For YOU sex is all of those things.

Yet, for others it may or may not be. My point is that YOU are not the one to be dictating what THEY should or shouldn't be doing with their bodies. If you want to judge them based on it, you obviously can, but I'm just trying to point out to you that your reasoning may not be as solid as you think.

And yes, music does have very real feelings attached to it - and real consequences. Aren't you watching the "Waa waa my favorite artist is succeeding" threads that pop up on this board? I've seen people fistfight over music (let's not forget the Vast Aire/Will High incident). It, or any other interest, can become a problem if it is your only focus. Sex is no different - the only negative affect that sets sex aside from other interests is the possibility of accidental procreation (and subsequent overpopulation). Which brings me back to my point:

Having sex with many people may not be wise, but it's not up to me to judge someone else based on their sexuality.

If you disagree with that statement, so be it, you have the right to. And guess what - I won't even judge you based on it. ;-)

dude

you're simply ignoring that fact that there is another person involved when you're having sex...that person is just like you.

He/she has feelings, your actions are of consequence, they affect that person. IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

And you bring up people fighting over tastes in music???

THAT'S WRONG TOO. If you can't live with somebody's opinion differing from yours and you get into physical confrontations then you are obviously not thinking straight...IF AT ALL. Common sense plays a role here. Fuck "wrong", that's just plain fucking STUPID.

How can you even bring that up to BACK YOUR POINT?????

I'm not conservative concerning sex AT ALL...

But you're acting like the excess here has no negative results

EVERYTHING IS "BAD" IN EXCESS...

shit, you can PRAY too much (for those who believe praying is a good thing).
