simon and garfunkle show on pbs  Reply with quote

every couple months/year, whatever, on a PBS telethon, they show the Simon and Garfunkle show from like, 19whatever,(86 or 91. something) when they played in central park. I've skipped so many social events, etc. to watch this when it comes on... the boxer is by far the best song by them.. one of the best songs in the history of music i believe.

and he didnt need to collaborate with new wave popstars to do it.

holy shit. you just showed your ignorance.

so your saying the beatles were popstars? okay, we all know that.

so you saying that hendrix didnt collab? ha ha

hendrix opened his shows with Sgt pepper, he used the beatles reverb techniques, he played guitar upside down like paul, he even asked the beatles on stage at one of his shows to sing with him. he wanted to be a fuckin beatle.

... if you want to check sources again, yes i have audio from the show hendrix and the beatles together.

he didnt convince the whole world of anything. he convinced his followers who refuse to listen to the fact that his shit lacks any rhythm in the solos, and has more distortion than actual music. its wack.

its all recorded and sounding like shit.
its like if sage made an album with a computer mic and a fan blowing air on the mic. then if someone complained about the shitty sound he said "no, no. i'm just using the hissing and popping as an instrument. even though its without harmony or rhythm".

fuck him and fuck you for putting him in the same mental picture as the beatles.

did I say he didnt have to collaborate with the beatles? no . . . I was referring to Paul and MJ ("Hey Hey" sucked, let the hating begin). my point is that Hendrix achieved in 3 years what Paul has dragged out over several decades.

okay, maybe Hendrix collabed . . . with who? drop some names. playing a cover of a beatles song and playing with the beatles are two entirely different situations.

your implying that Hendrix played upside down after Paul started doing it, or even used Paul's "Innovation" for his own little gag. I wont say no because I dont have evidence proving or dissproving it, but it doesnt matter . . . after all, the beatles were the boyband of the 60's until Dylan blew up. if Hendrix is biting Paul, the beatles are biting Dylan. does that make them any less creative or talented? no.

he wanted to be a beatle? big words - back em up or shut up.

Hendrix did convince the world, because he has a fanbase all over the fuckin world. call it shitty music if you want, but its shitty music respected by three generations of artists and fans alike. can you disprove that?

I feel like I'm talking to a smart ass twelve year old . . .

what were the beatles doing the first three years of their career again? they didnt create the miusic that ensured their longevity until the post-dylan era. Hendrix came in and out with a bang

I take it you cant support anything else you have said

Divine Brown - Your being crazy. You don't know as much as you think you do about this subject, it's pretty obvious. Just because you have a source on something doesn't necessarily make it correct, McFly.

bobby, you are a moron. and i believe you are still just a fuckin 17 or 18 year old kid. shut up.
the first three years of their career they only made 1 album... however, that album contained: please please me, i wanna hold your hand, she loves you, from me to you
are you seriously trying to say that none of those hold up? ha ha
the "post-dylan" era, was every fuckin thing after that first album.
so you basically called their entire career "post-dylan' era beatles..

you showed ignorance. shut up.
