It's kind of redundant, isn't it?
They're resting in peace. They're dead.
If I spend sixty seconds staring at my shoes, it won't help anyone to rest any more peacefully.
I'd like to propose an alternative to the traditional moment of silence. I'd like to propose SCREAMING UNTIL YOUR THROAT BLEEDS for every life lost.
What's so great about silence? Fuck resting in peace. I don't want people resting in peace. I want people roiling in conflict, jostling, interacting and wrestling. I want them running, fighting, anything but resting.
Peace is the carrot dangled. Peace is the light at the end of the tunnel.
Peace is death. I don't want people dead. None of them. Not Iraqis, not US Marines, not Kurds not Israelis not Afghanis not the French the British nor the Russians. Not the Ethiopians not the Cuban dissidents and not the Cuban establishment. Not the Palestinians in Gaza and not the Neoconservative hawks in Washington. Not George W Bush not Saddam Hussein not Donald Rumsfeld not Osama bin Laden not Jacques Chirac not Vladmir Putin not Jesus Christ nor Judas Iscariot.
I want them all alive, at the very least.
Fuck resting in peace.

jesse-i agree with pretty much everything you said..
but if im not mistaken arent you the very person that attacked sole for screwing up buck65s manoverboard album..you at that time didnt let i rest till you caught heat for posting that ish..so i see a time for a moment of silence for the dead to be a good thing because if all were alive and at home some would have been catching heat or screaming out loud having sex or what ever for that matter..so im not trying to bust your balls but...im going to say.....rest in peace |
