I am at parties...house parties, warehouse parties, the house of friends' friends (none of my close friends smoke). I am at festivals, concerts, outdoor gatherings...
I agree, though, that if you come out swinging people are going to get defensive. But I don't preach. I make my decisions, for myself, and nobody else. It's a matter of mutual respect. Just because I don't disrepect myself with chemicals, doesn't mean I have the right to disrespect somebody else who chooses to use them. |

i dont come out swinging.
i simply turn down drugs.
then i get the old "fuck that, we're gonna get you drunk tonight".
its all friendly and shit for a little while. then when their offers keep being refused. it turns ugly.

hold on...you're in pensacola, and based on your pic...military? that would explain alot. I spent the last few years in a military town, and without generalizing, I will state that I was underwhelmed by the reasoning and sensitivity of the population on a daily basis. |

people are seriously scared of me...funny cause in highschool everybody treated me like a pretty boy...back then my mean stare was supposedly just me being tired and pissed off that I was in school
put on 20 pounds of muscle and all the sudden I'm "scary" |

EASY with the name calling.
please never call me military. i am not, would not be military.
and yes, that probably does explain alot, this is supposedly the most military city in the u.s.
everybody here has more of an attitude than chuck d.
thousands of military robots in one city = lots of arguing, lots of fights, lots of anti-military militants. |

hey HGH, maybe you should just remove the words "im not into that" from your reply. When you spicifically state that you are not into it, and to strangers (that's what I got from your messages), then they may question it (especially if they offered you a beer or something). While simply saying "no thanks" would almost always avoid such a situation from arising. I'm not saying it is wrong of you to say "I'm not into that", I'm just saying if you want to avoid butting heads with people that may not understand then you should stop stating your stance on the subject.
Also to Sage, most of the answers you gave to the guy were amazing. |

but on a postiive note, all the military fucks in this city tend to prevent problems with racism that other cities have.
its more of an us against authority attitude here, than the old 'me against you because your different'.
so we dont have less hate, but we have a different kind of hate. |

I just say "nah"
if I get a "are you sure?" then I say
"yeah, I'm good"
seems to work just fine |

sarcastro--- i'm just stating the facts.
if they hate on that then its their fault.
usually it saves time anyway.
as soon as i say 'no thanks', the very next thing out of their mouths is "Why not?".
then comes the guesses:
you gotta get up early?
you religous?
you aint man enough?
your momma watching?
so i just lay it out there right from go. |

I realize you're just stating facts and that people can be assholes, but I've found in situations such as yours (I drink and stuff so I've never had the same exact situation) it is easier for me to make up some excuse then to have to explain myself. |

I almost feel bad for that straight edge emcee. It all just reminds me of polititians with their phallacy ridden arguments claiming that all we need to do is create more prisons and there wont be any more crime. Does he really believe the glorification of drug and alcohol abuse is the reason for society's problems? It seems that he doesnt really want to try to change things, but to just make it look like that. He's not giving his 100% to the cause. He seems intelligent to me, so I dont buy that he really believes everything he says. i hope he finds the answer in himself |

what are you talking about??? why must he give to a cause??? he just doesn't do any drugs...where's the need to have a "straight edge" campaign??
"Hi I dont't wear anything pink"
well why aren't you talking about it? why aren't you taking a stance against people that wear pink
"cause I just don't like it...people can do whatever the fuck they want. They will keep doing so regardless of what I say...fighting for pink clothing not to be worn is not part my my agenda...I just like wearing blue that's all" |
