Sage? Yeah, we used to get along...but not anymore...especially after what he did to/with my sister.

Plus, he said if we hang out too much I might rub off on him. Of course I told him that sort of thing costs extra; he beat me over the head with a John Stuart Mill book.

You should have been there, it was great.

i met Sage in Melbourne last October....

i was anxious when i introduced myself as i was about to perform (all his supporting acts were pretty nervous about meeting him that nite) and fumbled over some generic 'how you enjoying Australia?' intro....i dont think he could understand my accent plus my enunciation isnt the he stared at me blankly for a few horrible moments while i wondered whether he was trying to take the piss out of me or not....i then asked about his cd's and said 'catchya later mang'.....

during the show he said my mates g/f looked like Natalie Portman....he told my g/f she was well dressed but should stop smoking....and he dropped his microphone stand with his shoe on the end 30 cm's away from our faces.....

after the show i told him i enjoyed the show, bought a cd and shook his hand.....

i'm not sure it counts as "meeting" him

but i got my picture taken with him at the Univ of Wisconsin-Stout show on March 1, 2002.

he was reading his AOL mail on one of the internet terminals they had there by himself, and i was like "is that sage?" lo-and-behold it was. It's funny cuz he walks around like no ones going to recognize him, which is normally the case for him... but I looked him right in the eye, and you could tell he knew i knew who he was.

It was a fun experience. Sage ruined my photo by sucking his thumb though. haha.

edit: oh yeah and he signed my CD at the merch table too, I was being a regular fanboy hanging out back there by Eyedea and Sage.

my story. i've met him 4 times. first was in new orleans during the anitconquistdor tour. drove 3 hours for that show. 2nd time was in new orleans which i drove 3 hours also. 3rd time was during this last tour in tallahassee. then the 4th was by far the best show i've seen. it was in seattle. he had an instore before hand and when i walked in he remembered who i was. guess he does have a good memory. however i missed all the opening acts there cus i was working the door but i still got to see his set so it was cool. also he shipped a shitload of merch there and we had 2 cars worth of merch boxes we had to take to his hotel. damn my vacatation there was so good.

I met Sage at his Sydney show last year.

I bought Still Sick Urine Trouble, and SOWW off him. That was all he had.

I told him my name, and he signed my Urine Trouble, with "Paul, wack name, thanks for coming, peace, Sage." I nervously laughed while calling him a bastard. He laughed equally nervously. Shook his hand and left.

Damn, it seems almost everyone had awkward moments.

Well i met Sage when he came to my country for one of the last shows for his European tour. And I'll never forget when I had to pick him up at the train station.

He was supposed to take a certain train from amsterdam but when I was at the station I noticed that his train was delayed...
So I thought: I'll go read a book and I'll hear when his train is ariving.

So I'm standing there reading my book when all of a sudden I think I hear my name, so I look around and there he was.....
With a big ass beard and a confussed look on his face. He was walking around and just looking around an calling my name. So I immediatly walked up to him and told him who I was. He told me he took an urlyer (?) train and that was why he was allready there.

I also have some nice memory of sage on the sofa, eyes closed, listening to the Beatles (sgt. peppers....) trying to get some rest.

And of course back stage with eveline talking about his performance.

Some of the best memories I have, I still can't believe I was able to bring him to my little ass home town.

Must say he definetly is stange famous but also the nicest person I ever met (really humble).

Can't wait to get him back to Holland to rock an other show........

I have had the pleassure of getting to meet and conversing with Sage. I am enlightened by the intelleticually stimulated and refreshing perspectives he has to express. I will forever remember the time that I was alloted to get to meet a wonderful and well-rounded person. I just hope Sage enjoyed and gained something woth while and positive from our interaction.
Thanks for taking the extra time to reconize and correspond with your listeners on a personal level. It's nice to see that you care about your fans and keep in touch with what they think and say, regardless of the hate mail and busy schedule.

Sage, you told me I look like a rapper named Bless. I have yet to see a picture of the man, and I would very much like to see one.
