Ah okay. I was going by what I saw on The Met's site, which says doors at 6pm and show at 7pm.

One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Every performer killed it.

A few personal highlights:

The last song of the Wheelchair Sports Camp set blew me away. Rapping over Radiohead's '15 Step,' one of my favorite songs, which is in 5/4 time? Prog-rap!

Also, Katya's introduction for WSC: 'She's small enough to fit in your pocket...but if you did that, she'd probably bite your dick off.'

Watching Vockah Radu & the crew THROW DOWN. Seriously incredible dancing. The crowd was in a fucking frenzy.

It just plain makes me happy that Grand Buffet exists. Jackson's non-sequitur-riddled between-song banter is priceless.

I finally got to hear B's 'Who Killed Russell Jones?' piece. That & hearing a bunch of the new songs for the first time, especially 'Which Side Are You On,' was such a joy.

& seeing how many people know so many of the lyrics to Sage's songs is really impressive. There were definitely people rapping entire songs all around us, which was kind of annoying at times, but the show's mood was so positive that I got over it really quick.

Job well done, everybody.

Only if I use it to masturbate, or maybe turn it into a little hula skirt for my penis. Until then it's just your run of the mill "oh look part of the artist's costume I'm going to take this home." And really, after the insanity on stage that night taking home a beard extension just doesn't seem that weird. It just gets caught in your keys.

I'm going to back up a bit and reminisce about some memorable SFR moments.

The first time I saw Sage live was at Webster Hall with Bobby (who hasn't posted here or communicated with me in so long I forget his username and I'm way too lazy to look it up). After the show we hung out by the merch table with all the artists and I was kinda star struck so I didn't really say much to anyone. I was also completely shitfaced. Anyway, B was introduced to me and he shook my hand and looked me in the eyes and said "Thanks for all the things you do" or something to that effect. It was one of the most genuine thanks I've ever received, and I'm not even sure what I've ever did that was worth that.

The next show I went to was when Sage opened the SFR retail space and had that grand opening basement show. I walked into the place and B was selling water. I bought some from him and I think I tried to bullshit. For the next two shows I called him the water boy and I think he thought I was either dumb or high, or both. I'm never high so I can only ever be dumb.

Let's skip past a few shows to the first Church of Love & Ruin. I went to the bathroom after B's Bombzo skit and I saw laying atop the trash pile the aborted fetus of Bombzo. A bunch of face paint stained towels. I thought it was hilarious. Definitely memorable but I wish I'd taken a picture. Not sure I could've explained to any potential onlooker why I was taking a picture of red and white towels in a dimly lit club bathroom.

So this time... First some non-Dolan items: I ran into Sage on his way in with a pizza. He stopped for a bro-hug and then rather tersely goes, "I gotta get this to Dolan." Never underestimate the importance of pizza. Just before that I'd stopped to tell wcsportscamp she had a great set. I introduced myself as redball for whatever reason. Later on, as the show was winding down - a term I use loosely because this tour is about blasting your face off for 6 straight hours each night - I saw part of B's beard on the ground in front of the merch booth. I unceremoniously scooped it up, held it for a minute, said "huh," shrugged, and crammed it in my pocket. Then I began my trek home where I would eventually brag about my peculiar souvenir on here.

I hope everyone does that till it's no more and B takes it as a sign that I willed it and respects my will to wear it nevermore. Nevermore.

I feel like that too, but couldn't be less interested in further dialogue on the subject.
