Official Poster & Press Release:

GRAND BUFFET REUNITES FOR FOUR SHOWS, JOINS SAGE FRANCIS, WHAT CHEER? BRIGADE & MORE FOR B. DOLAN’S “CHURCH OF LOVE & RUIN” IN THE NORTHEAST

Rapper / Activist / Performance artist B. DOLAN is determined to add ‘Ringmaster’ to that list of titles, and has announced his intention to make last year’s highly successful CHURCH OF LOVE & RUIN an annual happening in the Northeast.

Inspired by the ’boutique festival’ scene, “Church” focuses on atmosphere, handpicked artists, and chaotic, inspired moments of surprise throughout the show (i.e. being part of a ‘toilet paper dodgeball’ game with 800 other people)

This year’s show will be co-headlined by B. DOLAN and Strange Famous label boss SAGE FRANCIS, and feature the return from 3-year hiatus of underground legends GRAND BUFFET. The Pittsburgh duo’s legendary live show lead to years of exhaustive touring alongside acts like GIRL TALK, WESLEY WILLIS, and MGMT, and they will reunite for all four shows of the Church run.

The lineup also features the addition of MUX MOOL of Ghostly International and SXSW darlings WHEELCHAIR SPORTS CAMP, as well as the return of the 21 piece WHAT CHEER? BRIGADE and last year’s show-stopping sissy bounce upstart VOCKAH REDU & THE CRU.

Numerous drag and burlesque performers will also be involved, continuing the show’s theme of featuring LGBT performers and musicians prominently throughout. MISS NICHOLLE PRIDE and MADGE OF HONOR will return, and a new host has been added in the form of Boston Drag Queen YEKATERINA PETROVNA ZAMOLODCHIKOVA.

Devotees of Dolan’s Church know to expect the unexpected at this point; but this year’s show promises to be it’s most ambitious undertaking yet. Tickets are on-sale now; come & be blessed.

I will be at the Providence show....and I can't wait. I've never seen B. live, and haven't seen Sage perform since '06 or '07. I am extremely excited to see these dudes, along with all the other acts...it's gonna be a classic show.

Damn excited for this. Can't believe Grand Buffet is doing these shows.

It's been a long time. They shouldn't have left me.

Not only is the Mechanics EP awesome, but Juan Deuce is a consummate performer. As generic of a compliment as that may sound, you'd be hard pressed to find me saying the same for most other emcees.

I kind of want to go to the Boston one because I like the lineup better. But it's more likely I'll go to the Providence one because it's on a Saturday, and it will be easier to have that day off, and I hate going to Boston.

This is bullshit. Why did I move from New England to California.

I really feel like seeing B Dolan perform with What Cheer? Brigade is something I have to see before I die.

Booked plane tickets for Grunge, Jackson & Vockah Redu's crew today. This is the part where I start feeling like it's really gonna happen. God help us all.

Boston FB event page and ticket buy links are also up. I've shed last year's promoter and venue after a disappointing showing in Boston. We're much better situated this year, but if Boston doesn't come through this time we shall not return.
