Having had my house broken into and many things stolen, I know firsthand how useless cops are. Have they even done anything about the fact that your iPod is two houses away, yet?

and to clarify, the ipod was located at 7:51pm thur night about 25min drive from where it was stolen, then was located again at 9:21 pm two houses down, and across the street from the first location.*

Can't you delete your stuff off the cloud thus deleting everything off your iPod? Don't forget to change your iTunes password.

This is what my detective kept telling me. No conviction was ever made, despite the fact that my car was found in the driveway of the person who sold my stuff to a secondhand store.

Police are absolutely lazy and worthless when it comes to theft. They should be fucking ashamed of themselves, but they aren't.

yea def not worth getting shot over. if you knocked on that door who knows whats on the other side.

maybe the current location isn't even the thief, but someone the thief sold it to on the cheap for drug money?

maybe you could stake the place out and play Burn Notice with your friends and launch an operation to get it back

Maybe send a letter to the address letting them know that both you and the police are aware that they have a stolen iPod in their possession.

Mess with their conscience...if they have one.

how's that? like do you shake them upside down by the ankles till it falls from their person? or do you just hit them so hard that eventually everything they're carrying hits the ground sans Sonic the Hedgehog?

i've obviously never done this before. help a buddy out?

Is it possible that the house just holds a normal family with some dick head kid? Do you know if there is a child living there with their parents? Then I would suggest just walking over and explaining the situation.
