I'm glad I made it out for the Providence show as I hesitated about rolling solo or not.
Fairly entertaining sets by both Despot and Exquire although I haven't felt inclined to pursue more of their stuff. Kind of funny when Despot felt it necessary to do some organized aerobics to get the level of crowd participation he was looking for. Guess he hasn't opened up in RI before ha.
Really enjoyed Killer Mike's set. Played some of the jams I really dig from Pl3dge, and a whole lot of goodness from R.A.P. Seems like a real humble dude who enjoys doing what he does.
Basically first time seeing all these acts live, but was looking most forward to El-P. Definitely an incredible album, and the way it played out with some live instrumentation behind him was real nice. Lots of energy brought for a rather small turnout. |

Yeah I was there too and it was so awesome. I was in the front row wylin out. Parts of El-P's set actually sounded better than the songs on the record-- like the intro to Drones Over Brooklyn-- which was crazy.
Also, my dipshit cousin got called out by Mr. Muthafuckin' Exquire during his set.
"Look at that nigga, he looks lost!"
I couldn't stop laughing. Killer Mike pouring shots into peoples mouths was another highlight. All four sets were dope. We had fun! |

You can't at least count on Limbs to never negotiate with nonsense. |

what does this even mean? why? Trolling?
whoa, whoa, whoa! he hates being called a troll...almost as much as he hates the term "bisexual".
You are so cute I just can't take it. I'm jerking off thinking about it right now. Alone, of course. (No homo promo)
ETA: By "jerking off" I mean holding my penis with my right hand and stroking it up and down. Raw (and cut). I like the sores. For you.

I listened to Fantastic Damage, ISWYD, and Cancer for Cure in sequence yesterday and it's a really nice way to note how El-P's production has evolved over the last decade. I can also say definitively that Fan Dam is still his best record, both in terms of production and rhymes. If we're just talking strict production, I'd go with Cold Vein; rhymes, I'd go with Funcrusher Plus. But as a whole, Fan Dam still sounds fresh. Just great shit all around. |
