This guy is the modern Jack Kerouack (sp?)

He jumped freight trains across the US, now he iss going for China.

He does not speak the language. He does not know the culture. He is Chinese.

This guy is for real. I think I learned about him here, then started watching Thumbs Up, which I really enjoyed. May '10 issue of Juxtapoze dedicated the issue to him. Interesting cat. Humorous, brilliant art.

Oh crap, look at me posting drunk again.

He is Korean. Oops.

Hitch-hiking across China takes some major "not give a shitness" though.

His art is not beautiful in my opinion, it is simply 'of the moment'.

WOW.

David Choe is a living art genius/legend. The fact that he comes across as a completely normal (reasonably at least lol) and accessible human being is definitely a part of his charm. I've been watching Thumbs Up for quite a while now. It's good stuff. The first two series were better that the current one I think. The China series is OK, but it's been extremely slow.

I had a daydream about running into Horny Kim on the street today. Heh.
