just got into explosions in the sky, they're pretty rad, but a little too optimistic for me. anyone know any good instrumental bands that are a little bit darker than explosions? |

My drummer plays bass in this band, and I like them a lot.

****YOU GOT TO HEAR THIS****
Animals As Leaders - "CAFO"

Sorry I can't post the video, they turned the embed code off :(
The guitarist writes all of the music then hires out these dudes to play it. It's some intense stuff to say the least. |

Sorry for posting this twice, but I know some people don't like to click on links ;) Found this video on Vimeo and they didn't remove the embed code. This song is unbelievable and the video is pretty cool too.

I consider them more an instrumental band than not. their vocals aren't really any different than how one might use vocal samples on an instrumental hiphop album. I dont know |

I don't know if they are quite the typical "band" you are looking for, but for music without words I like Ratatat |
