This was also right around the same time the screamo/metalcore scene started getting big in my area, and it was fashionable for bands to put an "x" on both sides of their name to show that they were hardcore, or something like that.

Nobody ever told you that it signifies that the band is straightedge?

Not for these bands. They just liked the "x", but most of them had nothing to do with the straightedge community.

This show is pretty well paced. Episode 3 was good. The dwarf remains my favorite character. Can't wait to see more of the stuff that's behind the wall.

I'm really glad I didn't read the books now. While I'm pretty sure I would enjoy them, I think I'd much rather be surprised with where the plot goes while watching this show. So far it's very interesting. Today's episode blew my mind, yo.

the writing and character development on this show is way closer to "the wire" than the typical tv show. great show, great writing. i havent been into a "current" show in a while, and while i hate not knowing what happens next it also gives me something to look forward to.

i liked how the "bad people" are primarily blonde/arian types. i like how the barbarian king is one of the most likeable and honorable characters in the film.

my girl calls is "throne of tits" haha, definitely lots of gratuitious nudity.

Ohh shit! Totally didn't expect that. Things aren't looking good for Ned.

The weird thing is, I don't think we've seen all of his plan yet. I think littlefinger was actually saving Ned's life there. As well as prolonging his own. There's no way he wanted to be seen going directly against one house or the other.

You're probably right. He's too smart to make such a bold move without it being part of a bigger plan. I missed a little bit of the part where he was talking to the ladies in his brothel about his love for the Stark matriarch lady (still bad with a lot of people's names), had he told them explicitly that he was going after Ned or just hinting that he might have some kind of plan up his sleeve to try to win her back?

Overall, he doesn't seem to have any real allegiance to any of the Houses. Just goes for whichever one he thinks can help him at whatever moment. Can't say I totally blame the guy for that, considering the way things seem to be run around the Seven Kingdoms.

"They're sending their troops the wrong way"

That gave me chills. It's crazy how pear shaped things are about to get it seems.

Also loved the scene with Cereo with the wooden sword beating down those lannister goons.

I watched the first 6 episodes in a row the other day and then watched the last 2. Needless to say I'm quite into it. Which I'm glad because I need me some tv to watch right now
