"Slow Man Stance" by Sage Francis + Buck 65  Reply with quote

Another demo has kicked its way out of the SFR vault. This here is the original version of "Slow Man" which was completely reworked and re-recorded over different music for my LI(F)E album. This version is more aggressive and includes A BONUS ADDITIONAL VERSE! The legendary Buck 65 produced the beat.

This song is available for download at: http://strangefamousrecords.bandcamp.com/track/slow-man-stance

"When the world moves at breakneck speed,
I hold the pause button halfway and make the tapedeck bleed.
It takes seconds to see what's gonna happen in an hour's time.
I see next week, next week I'm rushing rewind.
Time flies like a lie that evolves and grows wings,
then barrel rolls through intelligent designs of smoke rings."

Neuro,
Sometimes I wonder how useful this form would be without your responses. I'm so glad you were never banned. Thank you.

I think this fades the album version completely.

so you had all these songs before the process of the L(I)FE ? , which means youve had them sittin in the slow cooker marinatin, and you were pretty familiar with the songs, so were you ever just about to release these as an album BEFORE you had the opportunity to work on LIFE in the instrument form?

I actually prefer the original to this version, and it's definitely in a contest for top two songs on the record. Still, it's interesting to hear a different take on a familiar song.

i like the more relaxed vocals on the album version better but this is awesome to hear how the song transformed to what is on the album.

are these 'leaks' leading to a remix/demo album soon?

I really enjoy both versions. The Li(f)e version in the context of the album and this version in the context of shit bangs.
