Thank you! All my facebook asshole friends have already said the word "catfish" about 20 times. Even after I said it's a koi in the photo comments. The first person to say catfish to my face is getting subdued and t-bagged.

Might I suggest re: the painful tape ripping- invest in some Glad Wrap, or seran wrap, whatever you nerdy Americans call it (it took me forever to remember the word you guys use when I was searching for it there, people working in the stores thought I was unhinged) wrap it round your arm and then just use the tiniest bit of tape along the edge of the seran wrap so that it holds it slightly but not airtight seal style. It makes the undoing a lot easier.
Another great idea is to not go to a concert the night you get your tattoo done or you will want to rage and kill every person that comes within a foot radius of you or bumps you. And then! When you get home to your hostel it will hurt so much when you unwrap it and clean in that you nearly puke into the sink numerous times. The end.

actually, i'm pretty damn good at getting it all dressed up myself. I was talking about the botchjob my tattoo guy did for me. He used tape that would stay on the side of a space shuttle during take-off.

What exactly do you call GladWrap (that's a product's brand name) down there? Funny you mention concerts; my friend got a big piece on done his calf and a few hours later, we went to see the Deftones and dumb-ass got in the pit. No one made him get in the pit, but he did it......he did it and the pit won. He was an absolulute bitch in the carride on the way home.

Is getting tattooed really that painful to you?

The tape is god awful, but there are ways around the pain. A: If you have the tape on your skin, hop in the shower for a few minutes....this reduces the adhesive of it by almost 80% I'd say. B: If it's an arm/leg tattoo, there is no reason to have to have any tape making contact with your skin; you can wrap the arm in such a way this is unnecessary. Or C: Just make sure you're shaved in every possible area of that fucking tape's contact.

People just don't know the pain until they feel that.

anomaly: We call it Glad Wrap.. I forgot that cling wrap is the other name for it, but we don't really call it that either, just Glad Wrap. And yes you're right, they always go bonkers with the tape when they wrap it. The problem is when you leave it on too long (ie. sleeping), it seals!

xxdr. mad69xx: the process of getting a tattoo isn't that painful. This one in particular and where I got it was not so fine, especially if you have boobs which the inside of your arm will rub on when it's swollen 1.5x it's usual size and when you are threading through crowds. Also having a huge patch of your skin scratched open for 4 hours will usually have a time frame of pain with the healing. Oh and you scratch the shit out of it with your bag, which I did because I was travelling and had to keep my stuff with me.

Not the highest quality image (cameraphone in the mirror), but I thought I'd share nonetheless...

I like the idea of getting a tattoo somewhere, but I can't think of anything worthy enough. I think Aesop Rock's tattoo's are awesome though. Something like that would be sweet.
