I happened to see some of Jan Brewers state of the state speach. Could only take about 6 minutes of all the cheap and obvious political crap, "first pray with me for the victims," "we need to pray" ..."attack on democracy," then some vignettes about local
heroes and a 9 year old victim: "she was born on 9/11, she saw her birthday as a sign of hope for the american spirit." Really Jan? A nine year old girl thought of her birthday in terms of abstract political constructs? Fuck Jan Brewer and the way she reads a teleprompter. |

No wonder people are pointing fingers at Sarah Palin with all of her rhetoric during the election months. The cross-hairs map, the whole load your guns crap. I mean she was yelling fire in a crowded theater. People are afraid and will do stupid shit when they are afraid. Her and her Tea Party people did nothing but instigate this mess. |

Christ on a cracker... These Republicans I know are fucking morons.
"Everyone who knows the dude that did it says he was more liberal than anything. Case closed. You can't blame this on the republican party or the tea party it's just some crazy ass hole, stop trying to use this as political ammo for your leftist agenda. What happened is horrible, the dude should be locked up for life and thats it."
A liberal who loved Ayn Rand, talked about the constitution and conspiracy theories, has ties to White Supremacist groups, hated health care reform and tried to murder a Democratic congresswoman.

Definitely not real. If it was she'd probably have a lot more followers, and probably wouldn't be nearly as chatty on there with other people. |

Who gives a shit about that?
We've been hearing this "If it walks like a duck..." logic for so long in regards to Obama being a Muslim/Socialist/Gay Anti-Christ/whatever for how long now? Finally someone who has all the tell-tale signs of a confused tea party moron has gone fucking nuts and shot someone and all these idiots can say is "He's a liberal?" That shows you just how fucking screwed we are.
Sorry, but fuck John Stewart on this one. Do we seriously have to poo-poo these people any longer? They've created a monster and now we are gonna act like we're to blame as well? I reject that completely. No one forced these people to talk about second amendment remedies and how "oh some glorious day" we'll rise up with our guns and take back this government. They started this bullshit of their own accord the second a black man got into office. Now people are dying.

i'm actually commenting on this pathetic game of "hot potato" both sides of the political spectrum are playing. "he's one of yours", "no, he's one of yours". and the fact that both sides are analyzing his reading interests to offload him to "the other side", determining his motive in many cases. i dont care if the guy was left wing, right wing, chicken wing. i'm glad that debate has begun about the aggressive nature of the language used in US politics, and that should be the debate, but to cloud it in this back and forth battle of disownership is, i believe, a waste of time. |

You are buying into the bullshit.
The fact of the matter is that one side of this shindig pushed violence into the political lexicon. It's indisputable. They're the only ones pushing that agenda and now they are trying to distance themselves from it by claiming others are unfairly criticizing them for having created this atmosphere. I don't think anyone with a fucking clue doubts that this guy was motivated by a particularly violent political viewpoint.
Pinning this as politics as usual is putting a round peg into a square hole.
The chickens have come home to roost and nobody wants to man up and admit they are at the very least partially culpable for creating this political reality.
One side of this equation has been screaming fire in the theater. It's time they wake up. Pretending this is an "us" thing allows them to shed responsibility. |
