I'm not really familiar with this concept. Where are you supposed to put the cartoon pictures?
Is it like with all those ribbons for different kinds of tragedies etc? But with cartoon pictures instead..? |

Haha, I did the same exact thing. Great minds think alike, although I don't think anybody really caught on to mine either. |

^These were all honest questions. I still don't get it. I think I do, but it sounds pretty silly so I would be glad and I'd really appreciate it if the whole noble idea was explained to me. |

i'm glad you said this because i was thinking the exact same thing. one of my friends has in the past been convicted of child abuse and spent some time in gaol, and now spends nearly all of his time working with children from abusive homes. |

I think it is a lame, meaningless gesture. I'm glad I can say that here so that I don't have to say it on FB and jeopardize my social network. |

I'm Captain Caveman on FB (ElProblemo) friend me. I was a severely abused child for 7 years at the hands of my stepfather from age 5 to 12, so if people are recognizing the problem exists, who cares their avenue in doing so? If it makes people be reminded/recognize there actually IS a problem and think once or even think twice about hurting a child, I say good, great. If this wasn't an issue to you growing up, you're blessed. If you have/are going through this, you'll appreciate any attention to the subject. These kids need a voice, even if it's a "pointless facebook gesture".
No harm. I praise it, even if it is meanless to some. 100% effective, no. Somewhat helpful, absolutely. It takes even this small exposure to get people talking about a subject to get minds churning, wheels working, and someone to step up and take action like write, preach, and go to the man and get shit done. Rome wasn't built in a day; it took someone to build that shit, but before the builders could build it, there was a team of designers. So, stop whining and do your part in designing that shit for the kids so the builders can do their fucking jobs.
