Really cool video, very repetitive beat. Not a bad beat, just not one of Reanimator's best.

The repetition is the special part of this beat, in my opinion. That's something I expressed to Reanimator when he sent over this video. Sure, anyone can repeat one loop for a whole song. Very few people can find the RIGHT loop where something like this would work and actually add to the song overall. Primo is a master at this. Reanimator only does it from time to time as I believe his main strength is in building the "feel" of a beat with multiple layers.

Alias's original is hard as hell. All of his beats on the album are nasty nasty. But this remix has made "50 Ways" one of my favorite rap songs in years.

Lurve it

indeed indeed. i was thinking about this as it was coming along, how most can't really pull off a loop like that for an amount of time. gets boring. but in some cases where its done right it can set a mood/tone in that does a track real nice.

& music to slit wrists by is probably in my top 5. something about it just gets my head nodding and feelin great.

any chance it may ever see some limited edition vinyls?

Reanimator's beats are crazy. The Ugly Truth is still one of my favorite hiphop records. I love how he makes use of regular instruments and still can make a beat THAT hard. (I have no technical knowledge to describe it).

The B. Dolan remix is great, ofcourse. I don't know if I prefer it over the original though, that is one of my favorites off of FHSC. When B. performed it live with the Mia beat his energy and performance were amazing.

Loved the shout out Sage gave in the encore of the show when the One Breath Left Reanimator version was played. Saying how Reanimator is "weird" (sarcasm obviously) and giving him props. Liked that the venue played something from The Ugly Truth before the show started.

To sum it up: more Reanimator music please. Conspiracy to Riot was great, Ugly Truth was great, these remixes are great. I think his next thing will be...great.

Very dope remix AND video. But, whoever did the beat for the original song... they hit the nail on the head. Perfect production.

this unknown guy named Alias. He's made a beat or two.

Didn't know.

I'm just messing w/ you. He produced the entire B Dolan album. He's gotta be hard working on something else now, because he used to post on here.

I like to imagine he's busy joining forces with Reanimator and slaving over an album of news beats which will be supplied to Sage, B Dolan and Prolyphic who will collaborate on a towering tour de force of an album backed up by the biggest, darkest most dense beats known to man. Just imagine how good that would be....

This remix is nasty. Props to Reanimator. My only gripe is... I think the beat rushes B's vocals at the start..

That's why I love it.

Also Sage, you're right the repetitive tone helping make that beat work. I think of a lot of old techno and breakbeat tracks that do it well when I think of this beat. That repetitiveness is what gets my blood pumpin.
