| LIMITED Sole 4-CD package deal & The Pyre book |
|
|
Crazy cheap package deal with 2 great new SOLE items!
SOLE’S FIRST BOOK: “THE PYRE”
“The Pyre” is a collaboration between tim holland & ravi zupa. It is a seventy-two page illustrated epic poem with an accompanying full length “audiobook/album.” Holland & Zupa evoke the confusion, violence, hope, and voice of twelve thousand years spent digging in the mud.
The album is a cross between an audiobook, a herzog soundtrack, & an instrumental album. Featuring 20-plus songs recorded using analog 8-track & Computer. Continuing in the vein of the critically acclaimed mansbestfriend series, the would-be instrumental sections merge with the narrative and draw the listener into the beautiful and chaotic world that is “the pyre.”

First, that package deal for all those CD's is just crazy. Big ups to Sole for hooking us up with that. That's a perfect introduction to Sole's material for people who aren't yet familiar.
Second, the book looks incredible. I flipped through it as soon as it arrived and was like, "Yes, man. Yes."
great job all around. |

ya I think I'm going to get this... his verses on Ceschi's album blew me away but I haven't heard any of his own stuff.

I think the Skyrider albums generally fade the stuff he did solo, but Selling Live Water remains to be one of my favorite rap albums to come from that era of indie rap. |

Selling Live Water is probably my favorite, but it fits perfectly between Bottle of Humans and Live From Rome. All great in their own way. |

Yeah, I agree with that. Sole is one of my favorite rappers. I hated Live from Rome when it dropped, though. Now, I like it a lot, I was listening to it the other day in the car, and it has some really stellar moments. It had to grow on me for sure, though. |

i agree with all of that. i believe i'm one of the minority folk who prefer the first SSRB album to the second. "one egg short of the omelette" is my favourite sole track, musically and lyrically. |

thanks guys. the pyre was really cool. its so awesome to have a close friend that is your favorite visual artist and to be able to collaborate on a level that transcends visual aesthetics and do lyrical shit. next we'll be doing a series of prints, and some rap videos.
big ups to SFR for helping liquidate this old shit! |

for some reason that pyre promo video won't embed. I've tried to fix it to no avail. |

Wow. This is awesome. I had Bottle of Humans back when it first came out, the title track was probably my introduction to the whole anticon thing, I was obsessed with that song. Unfortunately my cd went missing/was stolen years ago and i've been meaning to get reacquainted with Sole ever since.
So all I can say about this deal is Huzzah!! |
