| My thoughts on Australia thus far. |
|
|
Sold out a venue called The Forum last night in Melbourne. 1500 people.
Tonight I'm playing a smaller club in Brisbane and this will sell out as well.
Tomorrow's show in Sydney looks like it's going to sell out.
Most of the Europe shows sold out too, but I'm just amazed at the "staying power" of my name and music in a country I last visited in 2005. These are some dedicated motherfucking fans here. Much love to Australia.
That being said, get your internet game up! hahaha. Fuckin'...these hotels, man. They only have broadband. And I have to buy the wire that connects my computer to the wall and then pay by the hour on some 1999 shit. Not only that, I can only use a certain amount of data before I'm cut off. And this shit costs the equivalent of $30 USD for "24 hr internet." You guys have an internet crisis and I'm about to call the UN for tech support.
I met the legendary Lants and Prontoid last night. SALUTE! I also met some guy who I am convinced is Plum Puddin'. He just wouldn't admit it.
Also, if I leave this country for the third time without seeing a single Kangaroo or Koala I'm going to cry. Not even a crocodile? Not even a stray boomerang soaring through the sky and then back again?
PLEASE SATISFY MY PRECONCEPTIONS OF AUSTRALIA SO I CAN FEEL AMERICAN AGAIN.
Last but not least, I'm missing B. Dolan a lot. It's not so much fun for me without him to bounce ideas and jokes off of. And vice versa. It's no fun suffering through long plane rides without knowing that someone is squeezed in even tighter than I am. I hope you're holding up, man. The fans are callin' out your name.

Is Lants pretty in real life? For some reason, I bet she's quite nice-looking. |

Lants and her sister are both cutie pies. But don't think they wouldn't slice your throat in a second.

It wasn't me.

I haven't gotten my shit together and was hoping to pay at the door tonight in Sydney. Looks like I'll have to track a couple down today if its selling out everywhere. |

Missed the Forum show. Mate Luc loved it.
Hoping Sage is Jigga retiring.
Still yet to meet the infamous Lants. Apologies for procrastinating the last few years. While I'm still renting and all my shit is still Smelbs, have been sleeping in a van in ADL for the last few months. Raincheck 2012.
Condolences to Dolan. Hope to get a chance to discuss Rabbit Proof Fence and get intimidated by him one day. |

1500 folks at a show? That's a pretty awesome and inspiring turn-out. And I concur about the koalas, kangaroos, and boomerangs. Those things seem so quintessentially Australian that no trip could feel complete without them. Looks like you might have to take matters into your own hands, Sage. |

Yes, tickets are still on sale for the Sydney show but I expect the show to sell out with walk-ups. So either get there early or get the tix in advance.
Hey, I'm using free wireless internet at my airport gate right now! Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Oh shit, I forgot to mention...yesterday I flew from Melbourne to Brisbane and they didn't check my Identification a single time. Not one. Bizarre. |
