It's been blasted back to stone age. I think it's the economy!
Have you guys noticed?
Did twitler poach everyone who used to fuck around with this site? |

The twitter poaching happened a while back, but most of the people we initially "lost" because of that have found their way back to the forum and they seem to be posting regularly again. I'm pretty happy with the activity we've got going on here considering all the other "me me me" places people tend to prefer on the innanet. I like the quality of posting that's going on. Maybe the activity is lower than normal but I haven't noticed that much. One thing we could stand to use is newer users. Yet, I feel like I'm the only one who goes out of his way to make people aware of this forum via the other networking sites and without redirecting folks to subjects we're discussing here it will always be the same voices. Not that that's bad. Who knows.
What say you, forum? |

Really?
Activity is down for sure.
I feel like the spiceyness is missing too. Absence of the je ne sais quoi levels.
The links to original internet fonts of weirdness are gone. There's less contentiousness, less funnyness. More niceness and agreement.
The new kids are all weak sisters lacking force of conviction or even force of mouth.
Everybody new is dudes.
Maybe I'm just sore that there's less angry people to riff off of.
I don't know. prove me wrong forum. prove me wrong. |

i think plum puddin' is both a good new guy and bringing the funny on the regular.
really though, i haven't really noticed a dip in activity. it's always been cyclical here. i kinda lost interest in posting when trav was sucking the air out of every thread.
i wish bandini was doing his thing more often.
also, i listened to a few of your beats raoul while doing email stuff. you're pretty active, right? what do you think is missing? |

phpbb's are like record stores.
they're not really adapted totally to the facebook/twitter generation, which is more instantaneous and requires less thought. i wish there was a way to integrate these forums more into facebook/twitter somehow, im waiting for someone to design a facebook interface... i think you gotta upgrade to v bulletin for that....
a message board is a place for intelligent discourse, and most people tend to read these things more than post nowadays.. now everyone has their own personal message boards via twitter and facebook so people use forums less.
that said, this is one of the most vibrant and intelligent forums on the internet, and for the people who use these forums its the #1 source of news music and banter. |

Compared to how it used to be it has slowed down. But the conversations are still good. People grow up, get lives and move on. I've seen it to other boards I used to post and still sometimes visit. |

Depends on where ya look sons. If you hang out in the sphincter of the forum you're gonna get your dunks dirty. |

You mean the original lols were all due to a handful of reallife-less internetters now moved on?
I think it's totally due to facebooks and twittge and people being less resourceful with their internets. dats where dey moved |

Mormons are sea sluts.
I'm fairly new. This forum has very few disagreements, I think. A lot of informative things get posted here but I haven't seen any huge debates lately. And there's a strange lack of trolling. |
