Scroobius Pip in band with members of Limp Bizkit, Blink-182  Reply with quote

Scroobius Pip in band with members of Limp Bizkit, Blink-182 and NIN members?

So what's this all about????

ARTICLE:

"Take a minute to read that headline again, because I was just as confused as you are I'm sure. I can assure you that it's good members of each band though and that I am pretty interested in hearing what this will be!

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, noted black metal enthusiast, posted the above photo to his Instagram with the caption:

"In the lab creating with these talented gentlemen@scroobiuspipyo@florinshordo and @dannylohner
#goodtimes #goodpeople #goodmusic"

The PRP pointed out the other guys in the photo are Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, former Nine Inch Nails guitarist, bassist and keyboardist Danny Lohner and hip-hop artist Scroobius Pip. I'm at least a little bit interested to hear what Barker and Borland are going to bring to the table since I'm a big fan of their contributions to their respective bands. Plus Lohner played on The Downward Spiral, so the dude has credibility.

I have no idea what the hell Scroobius Pip does.

What's worse? This, Attila or that rap-rock mixtape with Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse and Asking Alexandria?"

A bit of a premature post... i haven't kept up with Pip's production team as of late and see he's worked with Lohner and Barker on his own stuff previously. Curious if that's the same with Boreland or if that is new? And i'm assuming this is for his album and not a separate project as a band which is what i originally took from the article?

If it's more stuff like Introduction then definitely interested!

The keyboardist from Downward Spiral?
The guitarist from Limp Bizkit?
The drummer from Blink 182?
And Pip?

sounds awesome.. (no sarcasm, srsly)..
this could be the Blind Faith or Traveling Wilburys of hip-hop..

All that's missing is Nivek Ogre and Mystikal and it could go places unseen.

Sounds like it could be interesting. However, I'm not the biggest fan of Travis (or 182's drumming in general).

Could you imagine how great this could be if somehow they got Danny Carey on board instead? No mindless bashing of the symbols from him, and he'd actually lay down a considerate, well thought out beat for Scroob.

Each is a certain organ contributing their totality of vibrations towards the functioning of the whole organism. Even if one doesnt serve its purpose or performs it poorly in its current conditions, in another configuration, perhaps, their will be an exchange of 'sympathetic vibrations'.

Im not really familiar with either drummers, but maybe the set up would work better with his mindless style. You know what i mean?

As long as we're wishing for things, why not ask for Gene Krupa to be resurrected? That would be swell.

And "mindless bashing of symbols?" Are we talking about Travis Barker or Jacques Derrida?

Danny Carey is in a little known band called Volto!.
They came to Deroit and played a tiny club.
I was there early.. got right in front, best standing position..
(between the monitors and against the stage..)
i was maybe 5 feet away from Danny's kit..
Volto! did an instrumental cover of No Quarter..
my mind and eardrums were was blown..

I suppose he has to do something w/ his time since Maynard is doing APC, Puscifer, wine, etc.

I'll check it out. Anything recorded or they just play shows?

Billboard charts sales, not talent.
