Why did the Chiefs pick Dexter McCluster? He's just a smaller version of Jamaal Charles.

Sorry vintge they didn't even take Claussen in the second round!

Nevermind, just found out they want McCluster to play slot receiver and return kicks. A 5'8 receiver though? Thats going to be tricky

this is insanity. infuckingsasnity when they could have had tate with the later 2nd rounder who would ghave been better at all those things. wow im disappointed.

Where's Shamb? Wasn't he on here all year talking about how Colt McCoy was going to be the first overall pick? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I don't know if it was him or not, but I distinctly remember saying Jimmy Clausen wouldn't go until the second round, to which I was met with rebuke. Booyah.

I took me a little digging to find it:

He won't be #1 but htf could you think of him as a 2nd or 3rd rounder, Captiv8. There will be at least four QBs taken in the first round of the draft and he won't be the fourth one. (Ndamokong Suh will be #1 overall, most likely)

I have to mention Colt McCoy too. I didn't think he would go as late as he did, but I guess it makes sense after his injury in the championship game. And now he gets to go to the quarterback quagmire that is Cleveland. Chances are high that he'll get to start fairly soon, but it'll take a miracle for him to do well with the Browns.

Things changed drastically in the months since I wrote that.

Perhaps I took those things into account when I made that statement. Foresight and hindsight, my friend.

Say, Icarus, I know you're probably super busy this time of year, but I'm hitting up Ann Arbor for a show at the Blind Pig May 1st. If Frontier Ruckus are good enough for Dilly Dilly, they're good enough for me.

Never heard of Frontier Ruckus. I love Dilly but I don't know if I'll hit that. I do live two blocks from the Pig, maybe I'll stop through. You'll be hitting Sage in Detroit, right?

Yes, indeed. I don't know where Alvin's is, exactly, but that's what the internet is for. I'll look for you (that goes for T-Wrex, mortalthoughts, Dr. Sagacious, xxGreenLanternxx, and all other Michigan heads).

Yeah, I mean, we all say a bunch of stuff that sounds ridiculous months later, I just remember Shambhala being particularly militant about Colt McCoy.

I'd much rather the panthers have taken McCoy. I don't think much of clausen at all.

Also, I live directly under a group of UNC football players, and I was woken up this morning by the sounds of EJ Wilson and his family going crazy as he got drafted by seattle.

pretty good draft for the niners i think. nothing really earth shattering, but they addressed their needs. i'm still not really sold on smith as the starter, but now at least he'll have some protection and i'm glad they didn't take clausen or mccoy.

at best, either of those dudes will be average
qbs at the pro level... & the upcoming season
has to be smith's best - if not, the niners'
brain trust has to look elsewhere - preferably
NOT just some flunkie whose name automatically
sounds as if he's potentially serviceable/a star

Zack Follett is an awesome hilarious dude.
Usually I don't like the Praise Jesus type athletes, but he makes it entertaining.

His latest vlog entry has him shopping in his Lions helmet, a south part tee shirt and boxers... shopping for tampons... because he's going to bloody up some players on the field this season.
