Honestly, I'm not sure. I may have misspoken about the "7 minute mark." I know this song was a bit longer in the initial run. That being said, the longest song on the album is the intro song. |

Wow, honestly? Just... jeez. I think this is one of the only songs that has opened me up, and jammed personal shit in the wound. I've listened to it five times now, and I keep tearing up.
The best Sage song I've ever ever heard. This album may destroy me when I listen to thinking it'll be your last. :( |

Hey now. I never said it was the last. Stop all that nonsense. It's just the last song I've written. haha. I don't know when I'll start making songs again and it probably won't be for a long time, but it's certainly not the last. |

As I've posted in the comments section of the blog, this music is awesome and it made me think too about my childhood.
I mean, we're all alike. Who never wanted sympathy? Or, as a small kid, faked injury to get attention?
Thanks Sage, for yet another great song. That's why you are one of my favorite song writes (and possibly* the youngest person in that list).
-Carlos
*Yeap, you are the youngest, Dennis Lyxzén of Refused, Lost Patrol (now Invasionen), AC4 and The (International Noise Conspiracy) is 37. |

Congrats on all the success this song is generating.
This might be my favourite song. I'll need some time to know for sure. But, wow.
Thanks. |

wow..just wow.
a few things after digesting the song..okay wow.
My wife is not a big fan of any sage song, she's not into hiphop that much..thats alright she's a good cook.
BUUTTT she just heard this song and well she is down, so much she actually put it on her sacred ipod...so much she might be interesting to actually hit up the Cambridge show..wow.
anyhow..amazing song, song of the year yes, cant be topped..no way no how.
dare I say: I can imagine this song playing in several clothing stores, maybe even some clips in "the hills" final season..wow |

i think the only reason i've stopped is because i've been playing it for other people, and it gets a little embarrassing to be welling up like an old man in front of others.
one of my favorite sage francis songs ever, easily.
feel no shame crying in front of people, a wise man once told me "i find a man that doesn't cry and i'll show you a man you can't trust" |

Sage Francis wrote: Thank you, man. I'm surprised you've gone this long without hearing it. Jared is keeping the CD under lock and key it seems. haha. Good to know. I'll gladly send you a link if you want one though. SFR crew are in a circle of trust!
It's tempting to take you up on that, but I'm going to wait until I get my pre-order in the mail. Jared's offered to play it for me, but I've had to politely refuse. The anticipation for a record's release is one of the most enjoyable parts of the music experience for a nerd like myself!

Oh shit, I can't forget to mention that Zane Lowe played it during his show on Radio 1 yesterday. It's a highly popular radio show in the UK. He ended up playing it twice in the same half hour because there were so many requests.
Dubbed it "hottest record"

I can only hope that American radio is as open to this song as the UK is. Not holding my breath.
Got some "Suicide Girls" love as well.

nominated as Best Song of 2010!
