listening to the gunmen talk brought a feeling over me that i havent felt in a long time...RAGE. and then to listen to them justify shooting children AS they are being dragged away....if i hadnt been sitting i probably would have collapsed.

it IS nice to come here and see some people that were affected the same way...sage linked this on his facebook and some comments said by others made me cringe.

just sick man.

Operation menu was one of if not the largest bombing campaigns our government has been involved with. Make no mistake we ass raped them

I am very aware of this. Laos is the most bombed country on Earth.

Every village you go to they are using bomb shells as planters.

well it's their fault for bringing their kids to a battle

Right. It's better to teach your children not to help anybody who's severely wounded laying on the side of the road. Just pass them by. Probably their own fault anyway.

Sarcastro was quoting the video in a manner consistent with his username.

I think bakemosphere is saying that he is not emotionally distraught after watching the video, not that he thinks what happened wasn't fucked up.

i'm not surprised. just because there is video footage doesn't mean that that i'm shocked. i read the stories and it plays back in my mind. i've interviewed some returning soldiers who don't have the ptsd or the nightmares. who have done the fucked up shit and laughed about it over the radios. the worst part is sitting there and pretending to not have a bias and trying to get a story instead of screaming in their faces and strapping them down to a table. ok, that's not the worst part. but it's mighty difficult.
sorry if shit just got real for you folks and it is going to ruin your 'day'.

these videos popping up seem pretty new to me, I've yet to see this type of vivid footage come out of iraq.

No, the random guy on my facebook page said that it's nothing new apparently. There was stuff like this during Vietnam and shit. So, ya know, it's nothing new and everything is old. Keep it moving folks. Nothing new to see here. Get with the times.

Ur internet tone implies the reactions to this video here aren't merited and are naive.

What's your angle SFR announcement?

Here's a more interesting and informative comment from the facebook page:

As an Iraq War vet let me say that this video doesn't shock me at all. You have to understand that these two murderers in the Apache are OFFICERS. Officers in the Army are assholes who wholeheartedly believe in the Neo-Con agenda of overwhelming U.S. imperial dominance. They are huge supporters of the" Kill 'em all and let God sort them out" ... See Morephilosophy. They love the corporation (the Army) and they are lackeys for their superior overseers.
As a culture I can't comprehend why we are still shocked by what happens to morality during war. Didn't we resolve this during Vietnam?
When I served in Iraq as an infantryman I witnessed soldiers killing for the joy of killing many times. Some soldiers really relish the moment they get to exterminate human life (and any other life for that matter). Why is this not an understood truth?
