Say what? The only bugs that have messed with my game is the occasional freeze, which happened thrice in over 100 hours of gaming.

I started a new game yesterday and soon after I left Doc's place I saved my game. When it was done saving I couldn't move, I could turn 360° but nothing else. I loaded up my save and it happened again :/

I'm on PS3.

Aaaah. Maybe that's it then. That sucks dude.

In other news, I wrapped up Skate 3 this morning in an initially frustrating but ultimately rewarding session. I can say beyond any shadow of a doubt that it was much easier to complete than Skate 2, thanks to the removal of XP from online-required achievements. They also made some nice changes to gameplay, as I mentioned before. I will probably get into Skate 4 if they make one, though I really hope EA clears up all their server crap.

I also forgot how awesome Dead Space is now that I'm going through it again to wrap up some loose achievements. It's like a cooler version of Silent Hill in space, with some really cool weapons and a badass armor rig. Plus, Isaac actually knows what he's doing instead of fumbling around with a handgun. Plasma Cutter for the win, ya'll.

And speaking of Silent Hill, anyone check out Downpour yet? The screenshots made it look great. The HD collection comes out Tuesday as well, which should be fun. One thing that drives me crazy about Silent Hill though is the various endings, none of which ever seem to be that great. At any rate, I'm looking forward to playing the second one again in HD, which achievements. Getting the chainsaw was fun.

Ninja Gaiden 3:

intro:

alright so ive been playin the shit out ninja gaiden 3, ive played all the ninja gaidens from nes, to the OG xbox, to the 360, i even got ninja gaiden black which is an upgraded version of ninja gaiden for og xbox, the game that revived the series , anyone that played these know what a great game it is, and also know, what fucking pain in the ass they are, yet when you finaaaalllly pass all the certain parts you get stuck at and hold back the urge from destroying your system and tv, you get a mega game-gasm. That is one element from playing these that makes it amazing, but so very very very annoying while playing too, but the core of the game, the hack and slash, and wall jumping and all the ninja moves ,fighting the crazy creatures and cool bosses, THAT is what makes it all worth it, that was the real true game at its core (to me anyways)

the first ninja gaiden of these upgraded versions, had a lot back tracking, item collecting, and i guess what you call kind-of-rpg elements, then ninja gaiden 2 got a hell of a lot more gory, pretty much no back tracking, straight forward levels but still had all the items and collectables/ energy/ weapon upgrades like the first, but the CORE gameplay got way bloodier, a lot faster, cooler, more badass despite it still being hard as fuck (but not as difficult as the first) to get through most of it until you beat it at least once so you can get new game plus, Ninja gaiden 2 surpassed and was a hell of a lot better than the first (IMO) , EPIC i'll even say, for it just being this level to level slasher game

ok so now finally NINJA GAIDEN 3, the most straight forward badass ninja gaiden of them all, this one got much darker, and more streamlined, and a lot more action packed, the CORE of the game remains but on steroids,it got rid of all the distractions( collecting items, upgrading weapons, ninpo) this one actually has a story too, the others main story were both the same for ninja gaiden 1 and 2, the fiends were gaining power and strength and were going to take over the world and turn everything into evil spawns, Ninja gaiden 3's story and overall game/levels/enemies remind me more of the nes versions just upgraded for modern times, while still throwing in a bunch of easter eggs from the last games, the story isnt the greatest by any means but its still decent for what it is and for what the game is, plus if you like japanese animation, you should be used to these crazy themes/story telling ways, as i said the game is an ACTION PACKED, SLASHER extravaganza, the CORE that i have been speaking about remains but its way better, the games difficulty is easier, but still has challenge, i played it on normal and still got stuck on some parts but it def was not as annoying as previous games, i have yet to play it on hard but i will and its supposed to match the difficulty of the other games, and if you want no challenge at all and just want to breeze through it you can put it on hero mode, so yes they are making the game more accessible(is that bad?, since the hard difficulty scarred off other players/ made them quit and dislike it) but they still give you the option to play with lots of challenge, easy is actually easy, normal gives you a perfect challenge, then hard (is supposed to be) the ultimate challenge annoying like the previous games

the ninpo isnt here and the energy pickups arent here, isnt needed, its all streamed into the game play, and you can use it how ever you want, when you want , when its activated by killing, all the combos and special moves are here in ninja gaiden 3, and more unlock with newer upgraded swords you are givin as you progress through levels, LOTS of bosses, cool enemies , a variety of enemies, and different terrain in levels, alot of new added features in gameplay, button pressing and button enabled action moves, its good to leave the tutorial mode on to learn how the game plays, but once you get it, i highly recommend turning off tutorial mode so it doesnt pop up telling you what to do anymore , makes the game better overall and its how it was meant to be played

so i can most definitely understand why some fans of the series wont like it, but at the same time i dont understand, because "THE CORE" is still very much there and better than ever, and the new features are awesome add-ons

the ONE thing i really dont like is the length of the game, although its very compact with lots of stuff, it could be longer , BUT it doesnt feel like it got cut off or anything like some short games , its all there as a whole , and as you all might know i love replay value of games and this game has an addicting slashing action fun style of playing , plus new FREE dlc giving you more weapons from the previous games, and classic boss fights you can play in the other "ninja trials mode" which i havent really played too much of yet, its like a survival mode

all in all i really like this version of ninja gaiden it gave me what i wanted ever since from the beginning of the new series, i still love the other games too , to each their own, but this is the way i really wanted a version of it, it reminds me of the original NES versions only upgraded for modern times

Says the guy who basically likes anything if he thinks it looks cool before he actually plays it, then spends several pages trying to get people to talk about it when clearly no one is interested. It's okay to be disappointed.

Also, I've said that the Mortal Kombat reboot was really good.

Me on the other hand- I loved Super Street Fighter on SNES, but this updated and flashy version is just blah to me. I'm not a fighting game fan in general, but I thought my nostalgia would bring me some joy. The gameplay, story and graphics are all meh. I don't have to like this game just because I "should" being an old SF fan.
