kHill, if collaborative rap lyric writing is the only use you can think of that would make this useful, clearly you're not the target audience. This could change the nature of creative collaboration and communication, assuming there is someone to collaborate with and actual work to do.

And I definitely see that... But I think I fall into the 90% of people that will never get any practical use out of it. My impetus in making this thread is partially to get an idea for what I really could get out of it. I mean, I thought the same things about twitter before I started using it, and I'm obviously sort of a stubborn person. I was hoping someone could open my eyes about a way that I could use it that is not readily obvious.

For group projects in school or programming projects with a couple people at work. that's the only use I can see of it.

I assume that people are smart enough to (dot) and (com) their addys. Being that I am not a bot I could deduce a usable address from, for example, johnsmithathotmaildotcom

Also, the robots are already poised for their ultimate takeover. They will be our harbingers of doom and there is nothing any one of us can do about it.

Ah, the @googlewave.com isn't a real email. The bots would need to be invited to the beta in order to spam me, and then they would get the bouncy bot (g-wave inside joke; isn't this fun?).

10% of people is a ton of people, though.

How much have you used Google Docs? If the answer is 0, then you probably won't use this much either. Or maybe you will, since it's different and all.

I'd like an invite: (myusername)atyahoo.

I have Google Docks, which isn't the same thing, it sort of keeps me from running aground when I'm being all nautical and shit.
