What is this shit? It looks like a less useful email client. I am clearly missing something here. Who else has it?

Why do you have it, and I still don't?

YO, I would hook both of you up... in addition to the other two hundred people that want them... but I have not been given any invites yet. I'll keep ya posted.

I have it as well, but I don't have the power to invite. =[

I'll keep you all posted if I ever do, though.

I've had it for a long while,

I'm sure it will be on this list soon enough:

I have it, but no invites. I'm not really impressed. I guess it would be good for people that collab on documents or something. It's not gonna replace my email though

Is it as cool and useful as those twitter lists?

By saying cool and useful I was using a cynical device called sarcasm.

Aren't twitter lists just what tweetdeck already has, with the categories you can create and stuff? those are way useful. it lets me filter through twitter in lots of useful ways whenever I want. I also have a small group of the people I follow that have their own group, so I make sure I don't miss their tweets.

The only circumstance I can imagine this being useful is for working on lyrics with the other two rappers in my group. Out of the three of us, only two are computer literate and that sorta kills the idea. Since I can't give teh other guy an invite, it is utterly useless.

It's like a cross between AIM and email. Outside of small businesses, this is not going to be useful in any capacity for 90 percent of people.

You're just... not right. It's not that you're wrong, it's that you're making your conclusions based on an incomplete view of the app.

The basic communications technique is halfway between AIM and email, but the basic communications technique isn't the point. Extensions are the point. Widgets that you can interact with inside a wave, and robots that can interact with you using a wave.

http://code.google.com/apis/wave/guide.html

Think Facebook apps, but more interactive and tactile. Think iGoogle widgets, with collaborative, social elements.

This is quite possibly a game changer, but first good extensions need to show up.
