Free Download!! SFF Collabo Album Vol 1 (It's here!!)  Reply with quote

Thanks for everyone's contributions and patience for this project. About a week ago I posted a request to have forum members contribute original music for a Strange Famous Forum collaboration album to release back to the forum as a free download. Fortunately, out of all the submissions I was able to compile 19 tracks for your downloading pleasure.

The cover was created by MP3D. We decided to go with colors familiar to the Strange Famous forum.

Here is the download link to the FREE album (in zip format):

Mikal kHill vs AdamBomb - Buy My Shit
"It's silly, and I threw it together in no time. It's like a

A. Steele - Bad Break (producer/emcee)
"I produced this track, it is a little different then my normal styles but i like the aggression of the beat. I also wrote and did all the so-called rapping. I can never find any emcees for my beats so i decided to write my own raps. I recorded it myself
with logic. The sample is some death metal from europe somewhere, i could look it up if it means shit to anyone. Its just a bunch of sound."

No offense but I downloaded this just to here the first track and MMMC. The latter was unlistenable. The first... kHill I never knew that you could actually rap. I never really enjoyed your country music stuff so this took me by surprise. I might actually buy your shit sometime. I called you a racist in a thread about what?

Wow, Critical Theory, your piece hit me in a really personal spot with some shit that I have going on my own life right now. That could really have hardly been more timely for me.

Icarus, you didn't actually call me a racist. I was just joking, and that part of me just playing off the shit I did in that "Fuck a Ron" song forever ago. I said "he called me a racist in a thread about GM" as if we were arguing about the bailout or something, but I don't even know for sure if a thread about GM exists. Totally just joking, no offense intended.

I've only ever performed the country stuff live like one song at a time in front of crowds we were there to perform hiphop for, and they always seem to be confused by it more than anything. I am an MC and producer first and foremost. The singersongwritery shit I do is just a sideproject I work on when I need some variety in my life. ha

If anyone is interested:

And if anyone wants to buy my shit:

Solo album drops later this month, too.

I wasn't offended, totally just confused. I don't really call people racist that often and I usually remember when and why if I did. Especially if it were someone who I generally hold in high esteem, like you. I did a google search for "site:strangefamousrecords.com khill icarus502 racist" and didn't find anything close.

Ah man, I'm sorry to hear you've had a personal experience with that shit. The song came out of a really sincere and freshly personal place when I first wrote it, and now the whole situation is just sort of a part of me, so I'm glad somebody else had a connection with it.

As for the this thing, I'm really impressed with AdamBomb for getting this all together and executing it as quickly as this. Shane's is definitely one of my favorite tracks on here. And "Beans & Rice" has a fucking dope beat, Box Johnson. And Johnny Rockwell's "State to State" is pretty cool too.

And if ya dig my steez, my free album is available for DL/stream for a few more weeks here:
