You ask the question. People take the time to answer you with a detailed and reasonable response. But you go on as if that didn't happen. Why is that? That's annoying.

By my calculations, the math goes a little something like:

Neuro wrote:
these two albums have NOTHING in common

plus:

They are both sequels to albums (by aging rappers) thought to be classics in the same genre. They both feature producers that are considered greats from different eras. They both leaked this week. One comes from the biggest rapper on earth. The other comes from a rapper that has struggled to stay relevant through the years. BP3, i'm sure had no problem being released. CL2 was dropped from Aftermath and shopped around for quite some time. One will sell great no matter how shitty it sounds. One will sell poorly no matter how great it sounds. Both feature a shitload of cameos.

multiplied by:

- Both hip hop albums.
- Both being released at about the same time.
- Both by prominent artists.
- Both the carry the name of earlier, classic albums.
- Debate about whether these albums will live up to those classic albums has been going on.
No one is saying they sound the same, but they have a lot in common.

It's still to early for me to start singing the praises of the entire album, but there are some hot tracks on this album. It's definitely better than most people were predicting in the other thread.

I'm liking Cold Outside, We Will Rob You, and About Me so far. It's good to hear Busta (it's not credited in the download posted above) on About Me, I haven't given any of his recent stuff any attention. Dre's beat is nice too.

Comparing these albums is about as natural as pissing in the morning.

True. One is a better sequel than the other.

This is a classic. There is not one filler track on here. I'm impressed with the fact there are so many different producers but there still is a uniform sound. While on the other hand, BP3 seems to be all over the place (like a mixtape). This is every good as I hoped it would be!

Sorry Neuro, I understand you are trying to rep your Wu-loyalty, but it is valid for all those reasons to compare the two albums. Let's just agree this one is better, but BP3 will still probably sell more (unfortunately).

All that pressure, and Raekwon came through in the clutch. Jay-z just threw up a brick.
