AR's are so awesome.
I recently just went from owning 1 to owning 3. Originally had one in .223 the new AR's are in 9mm and the five-seven FN Herstal round respectively.
For those of you who are into rifles of the sort check out the new AR-57. Pretty sweet close quarters set up. |

I haven't been following the news much lately and I'm genuinely confused: When did the health care debate cross over into a debate over the right to bear arms? as far as I know the Obama administration has more or less left the arms issue alone up to this point.
To me, it is remarkable that the conservative movement, bruised, battered and seemingly petered out post Bush II, has been able to take the upper hand in recent political dialog on many fronts. |

Personally, I would not be worried, like the Secret Service spokesman stated. After reading this Washington Post article about Secret Service training, I am pretty sure agents would snap this guy in half before he got his assault rifle level towards anyone.
Agents who get the priviledge to work on presidential detail are beyond OCD at this point.
The guy with an assault rifle is probably in more danger of being shot than Obama. |

All I can say is that if Obama bows to these fucking morons our country is totally fucked. If that happens it will show the Republicans that no matter how low they go, they'll get what they want. It's about time we just did the truly American thing to do and shove this legislation up their asses. |

Secret Service is on their shit. I'm not worried about someone getting hurt (outside of the idiots with the guns), but an attempt is on its way. Or at least thats how it feels. The fact that they are using it as intimidation (knowing damn well the connotation) is beyond just the physical threat of having a gun there. This whole thing is really getting creepy. The reason we have the right to our guns is incase we need to over throw the gov't. These motherfuckers seem to be thinking like that. Swastikas, guns, "our country". shit is getting weird. |

What's even weirder is that they are out there now, when we are talking about health care and not years ago when habeas corpus was spit on, our first amendment rights were being trampled on and illegal wars were just another day in the park.
I got friends from high school telling me to watch youtube videos featuring Ronald Reagan on vinyl discussing the socialist dangers of socialized medicine in the 1960's. What the fuck is wrong with these people? They simply refuse to listen to reason and cling to this cold war idea of socialism being evil. I'm really at my wits end with shit like this. |

Obama has been compromising too easily. He needs to pick the plan he wants, and then set his crew out there like Bush did, with some talking points, and just say them over and over until we've got healthcare.
If bush could sell us Iraq, why can't Obama sell us Healthcare? |
