| Pitchfork's top 500 songs of the decade |

Yeah yeah yeah fuck pitchfork and all of that. Whatever. I love silly lists like this and love to waste my time arguing and disputing them. If nothing else, it's great to look through this and be like "oh yeah I love that song."
Anyway, what do you all think? I doubt it will be there but I think Makeshift Patriot should make the list. |

Can remember hearing about 10 songs on this list.
So obviously listening to the wrong things.
Why is Without Me in the list.

With lists that long, you may as well just call it '500 songs which came out in the last decade'. And even then it's not necessary. Is it? Personally I don't pay attention to these things, and I've always found it hard to work out where they fit in - but at least they bothered including links to the tracks I guess. I'm sure there's a purpose somewhere... |

That's exactly what I was going to say. It seems they just threw a bunch of songs in there with very little rhyme or reason. |

Bring that list down to 10 songs, one for each year. Or maybe forty if you want to break it down quarterly. Anything else is just too much, as Mr. Peace noted. |

I don't have any time to look over this list right now but I bet it's probably a decent, ecumenical list. And it would be a travesty if it didn't include any of the following rap songs: "Still Tippin," "Hustlin," "Throw Some D's," "U Don't Know," "What Happened to That Boy," "Makeshift Patriot," and "What We Do." Rock' songs: "Timorous Me," "Books Written For Girls," "Oxford Comma," "Bird Gehrl," "A Distorted Reality is Now A Necessity for Being Free."
I bet all of those songs are somewhere on the list. |

list is way too long. and takes too much time to load. who has time to read this shit?
Top 100. That would be the list I want to read. With write ups on each song. Otherwise, fuck off.
VH1 does this better. |

I'm guessing they've only done up to 200 on this one so they can write more about the top 200.

I won't click on that link because (1) it's Pitchfork; and (2) as everyone else has said, 500 is stupid.
That is even with my love of lists. |
