That was not nice to look at.

I wonder how much shit will hit the fan due to these photos.

The US needs to step up, apologize, and make this right with the world. We'll be paying for this for quite some time. But none of that matters if we can't openly acknowledge how wrong we were and take all measures to prevent stuff like this from here on out. What's the possibility of that happening? Huh. Fuck knows. We fucked up. This is not right, and this is not how civilized people act. Even when you're dealing with terrorists. That's my take on it anyway. This is upsetting.

At least half of the photos on that site were previously released. Whoever made that site should watch Standard Operating Procedure.

No, that wasn't good to see but it's a good thing that they're out. There has to be some real accountability now.

Sickening. As horrible as those pics are to see, what engrages me more than anything is the fucking smirks on the faces of the soldiers in the pics. Fucking despicable pieces of shit.

Doesn't matter if they are new or not. This needs more exposure, in order for there to be consequences and hopefully for measures to be put in place so it never happens again.

I didn't look at them but I don't need to be convinced and just reading the comments here its clear that heads need to role and apologies need to given like they never have before.

I don't know if you've heard of it, but I'd recommend watching the Errol Morris documentary, Standard Operating Procedure.

Absolutely disgusting. How anyone can get a kick out of watching another human being - many of whom have not been proven guilty - suffer like that deserves the exact same treatment themself. Despicable.

... wow. I even expected those pics to be that bad, and i was still shocked by how FUCKED UP people can be.

It goes beyond governments or wars and drives straight the most primal problems with human nature.

Absolute power corrupting absolutely. There is so much beauty and joy in life, but when I see a reminder, like this, of the sickening side of that coin it really makes me hate my species.

Many Americans are blind to these types of events, even after they see pictures like these they will still wholeheartedly believe that the U.S. is always on the side of 'right' regardless.

I hope with all my heart that their eyes will be opened to the truth in my lifetime, and that once their eyes are opened the human race has the collective strength and compassion to make a real and permanent change. But that's just the idealist in me talking.

Wow, I'm just pissed off now.

Every soldier whose face is in one of those photos was put in jail and dishonorably discharged. Yet, the real story isn't the people who took the photos, it's the ones who ran the prison and instructed the guards to torture the prisoners. Everyone's gut reaction is to hate the people in the photos, but they were victims in their own right. More importantly, they're the ones who documented this and ultimately the reason why the world knows of it. They're also the only ones who've been punished and in all likelihood the only ones who will ever be punished.
