Sweet. Although I'm sure Ford will appeal and he won't see any of that money any time soon.

The amount seems a bit excessive, no? And how do you prove that a seat being sheared from its screws faulty manufacturing? I imagine quite a few things dislodge and break when a vehicle rolls two and a half times. I'm not on Ford's side here, and I think Dax Pierson is fantastic. I'm just sayin. He should at least get enough to cover his medical expenses, and a chunk after that, but $18 million seems way too high.

You are the type of person that "tort reform" is marketed to. GTFO.

ummm.

no?

He's paralyzed. He needs 24 hour care. The life that he once knew is almost impossible to live again.

And, yes, it was faulty manufacturing. The seat is not supposed to become dislodged in an accident. Because it breaks peoples necks when their heads hit the ceiling.

Last, but certainly not least, you are a douchebag.

I'll comment on this portion again.

You bring experts into court and have them testify. Is that really so hard for you to figure out?

His medical expenses are 12 million and the 'chunk' is 6 million

I'd been wondering about how he was doing and what was happening in the world of Dax, but I've always found it a tricky issue to approach and I also never really knew how to find out information without feeling like I'm invading privacy. It was such an awful tragedy and it shocked me pretty hard.

Obviously you can't ever make up for something like this with money but I'm pleased that he's getting some kind of financial benefit...
