Click the remix article on the front page of www.StrangeFamous.com to check out the first wave of top contenders.

These are not all the remixes, nor are they all the BEST remixes. This is just a taste before we do a full blast in a few days.

The remixes we received over this past week are some of my favorite. People are coming with some grimy shit. Some beautiful stuff too. Each remix contest gets better results than the one before it. Love this shit.

Weigh in on your favorites!

STOKED. I'd love to hear feedback on my remix (Doctor Adam) from forum folks. I can't wait to hear all the others.

Awesome. I'm stoked to see mine as a contender. I'm hearing really good stuff, yours is really good doctor adam. My personal favorite. His rap goes so smoothly with that beat, nice.

All good stuff for sure! My personal favourite so far is the >magOwl< remix. I'm feeling that with the expression in your voice and the lyrics, Dolan.
That beat feels more one with your accapella to me, which I believe is a very important factor and goal to be achieved to make a good song.
Great piece of art guys!

Some of these are pretty good, some not so good...

I like the beat by High P the best, but I'm not sure if it fits well with the lyrics and the flow of the song...great beat though...

On first listen, I'd probably give this round to Edison's Iron lung so far. It seems to fit the best with the lyrics...

Great job and congrats top 13, lots of different sounds I didn't really expect.

Sequence - your remix is sick. If you're interested in constructive criticism I'd say your drums definitely are the focal point of your beat (similar to what Alias did), but maybe your sample could be a less spacey sound or possibly use less reverb on it or something. Using a lead synth instead of a Pad synth might give you some interesting results too.

Was definitely hard finding samples and sounds to fit with Dolan's voice, he didn't use much tone in it, was more a straight forward rapping style. So it was a challenge to match the 'notes'.

Across the board I'm really impressed with the sound quality people got considering these are mp3's.

Submitting mine tonight.

Aharon Hebert - I really like this. Reminds me of Sixtoo for some reason.

Chester's Kitchen - Nice in an unexpected way. Good work.

Doctor Adam - The drums are really murky and the overall beat doesn't do it for me. It's not bad; it's just not for me.

Edison's Iron Lung - Goddamn son! You brought some fire on this one. Very powerful and crisp drums.

Faith Healerz - I can't believe you aren't getting more love with this beat! This is some serious electronic darkness and I dig it. Very nice!

Forest Travesty - A first I wasn't feeling the ethereality of your beat, but when the drums kicked it I started nodding. I like the beat, but I'm not sure how well it fits the song. Good shit though.

I'll have to listen to the rest soon cuz I don't have time now. So far, so good. This is some really good work, guys. Keep it up!

Man I love almost all of these. It's like listening to a different song every time.

I feel like the quality of the lyrics really brought out some crazy shit from people, and matching this intensity made for some heavy listens.

I was kicking myself for not getting a mix together in time, but now I'm relieved. My shit would not have sounded even nearly this good.

And there's ones that are better than these? Shit, I hope someone with some dough is farming this pool for talent.
