i didn't see this thread till this morning but i took a few shots over the weekend so i'll throw one together:
friday night on my drive home from worked i stopped by the walls to catch flicks of some new stuff:
friday night i didn't do anything much.
saturday morning i didn't do much, snapped a pic of some baby birds in a nest in my window box on my way out of the house:
then i drove into the city to buy a bike... but someone ran into my car on the way in. 88 volvo FTW:
after getting the insurance info, i drove off to get my bike. i didn't take a picture but it's this one:
the i rode around and found some hilarious graffiti:
i dropped by car off in the parking lot at work and rode down to a pool party but i got distracted by a mural project:
then pool party, all i got are some stupid pictures of me trying to ride the corona bottle:
then i went back to the mural were i was asked by an old school dc writer to provide photos for a slide show for an upcoming gallery opening of graffiti and street art... that pretty much made my day:
then off to a bbq where randomly i met another writer who had seen my pictures online and was cised to meet me.... saying "damn, everyone's been wondering who the hell you are!" that made my day even better.
then i went back to my friend's place to cheer him up - he had earlier broken his toe earlier at the pool party staring at a transvestite. if that doesn't make any sense check out the flyer for the pool party:
next day, i met a friend for lunch, biked a bunch, walked the line to get more shots of graffiti. i didn't find much new stuff though so i didn't take many pictures.
then we went for a walk in the park:
good weekend. |

Mortalthoughts, where were you up north? As you probably gathered I was in the Traverse City area. |

Nice post T-Wrex... like the style and the captions.
Good stuff people, keep 'em coming.
And good lord man, I wish I could make bread like that at home. Damn stand mixers being so expensive and bulky. Looks like the "old French lady" method for me... I'm still gonna try it and see what happens... I'll be attempting a basic baguette.
Any suggestions for types of bread or recipes that don't need as much kneading so I can save my tendinitis-riddled wrists some strain? |

knead with your elbows?
or.. find a good no knead recipe. they're all over the internet. you'd basically be making a yeasty batter that develops strength over the course of a half day or longer..
here's a video on a no-knead fococcia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiU71hSAqvQ
pretty simple. if you used his recipe, cut the dough ball in half with the spatula before you took it out, and stretched em the long way instead of flattening it out, and not topped it with salt, oil and rosemary, you could consider it a no knead baguette. |

I don't get any hook-ups other than two free pieces of fruit per day. We don't even have employee discounts right now either, because of the slow economy.
Don't know what's gonna happen when that Walmart opens up. |

I wish I could have warned you not to waste your time with The Onion Movie. Though, if you were baked it may have been alright. |

I laughed hard at The Onion movie.
It's like a modern day Kentucky Fried Movie. |

I couldn't disagree more. I mean, maybe if Kentucky Fried Movie had a child with Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy and got most of the worst traits of the two...
I digress.
Your presentation was excellent, though. |
