And his brother Nate is still recovering from that triple suplex Rory McDonald laid on last fight.
Seriously though....look at Nick's past history and actions. Do you really think he is the type to listen to anyone else regarding what he needs to do? |

Jon Jones seems like the real deal, I really want to see him fight Machida next instead of Evans. |

That would be a neat fight to watch. Jones by elbow TKO from the top.
But yeah, 'Shad deserves a shot at him. They seem to legitimately dislike eachother now too, which is weird and should make for a slightly more tense fight. Jones by elbow TKO from the top.
Ha. Jones will run this shit for a while.
Also, this season of The Ultimate Fighter seems very promising. Mayhem makes me laugh from time to time ("'Kentucky'? Sounds like a great name for the Japanese guy."), Bisping is a perfect asshole, and the fighters all seem on-point. Small guys FTW -- those two heavyweight fights on the PPV card sucked the air right out of the room. |

Does anyone else think the better fight would be Silva vs. Jones rather than Silva vs. GSP? |

I think it's all about reward for the person moving up in weight. The person who fights at their normal weight doesn't have a real choice.
I don't think it would make any sense for Silva to accept a fight with Jones yet. Jones needs to build up a much bigger name than he currently has for Silva to move up and risk his rep. If he beat Jones, then people will just say Jones is an up and comer and didn't have enough experience or that he was just a puzzle that got solved (like Machida). Jones needs a long string of wins to prove himself to be worth Silva's risk.
On the flip side, Silva's is plenty of motivation for GSP to move up in weight. If GSP moved up and beat Silva there's not a doubt that he could retire on the spot. |

Agreed.
There is no point in risking Silva's legacy and Jones' momentum on pairing them up any time soon. |

I guess I should have said more exciting fight based on the skill set and speed they both hold. Also, isn't it a pretty well known fact that Silva walks around at 230 andloses 40 pounds to fight at middleweight? Which might be the weakest weightclass in the UFC. He's fought at light heavyweight before, so that shouldn't be a big deal. I'm a Silva hater, but I respect the hell out of him as a fighter but I've always hated his issue with fighting outside of his weightclass now.
But yeah I do agree Jones would need to prove himself more first. |
