the mitch hedberg & big lebowski references in the first song made me really happy

Likewise. That intro song is my favorite thus far... love that chorus. Like some people have said, there isn't a weak song on here. Great writing. Great beats. This won't be leaving my car for a while.

Might as well do a roll call in the same thread:

Who's going to the NY show?

i'm a huge fan of her as well. gorgeous.

i'm not sure if this is my favorite of his, but i'm certainly enjoying it a great deal. i'll have to get to know it in more depth to be able to make that decision. however, the physical album set-up is fabulous. so creative and reminds me of colorforms but with skeletons. man i loved those.

Yeah - Dessa stands out on the track - which is an impressive feat considering how correct P.O.S and Sims come (and really, P.O.S throughout this whole stellar album).

And since Dessa has been brought up (and not to steal the thread), has anyone picked up her book "spiral bound"? Its on the Doomtree and Fifthelement site. Anyone read it?

Holy Shit!!!!!! i just got this album, and it already looks to me like it is one of the best albums i ever owned out of my whole entire life...wow!!

with that i am now not abashed to say that i liked the last P.O.S cd so little that when my bff in town from NY heard it and raved about it, i flipped it at him as a gift. hmm. well he made good use of it!

but this cd is mega super duper ill like fantastic. wait, can i be any more complimentary about it? i don't think i will be able to take my walkman off any time soon, it think the headphones will probably graft themselves to my ears soon enough.

i am so impressed. i hope homey sells a million copies because he deserves to no doubt. p.o.s is the best! and i agree with the title never better.

ok, so ...also the hook up and packaging of the advanced cd is truly excellent.

i give this album 5 out of 5 snack packs!

I saw the Never Better tour in PDX last night. Sims was ill. Mictlan fucking DESTROYED. Lazerbeak was on the MPC for both of their sets. P.O.S. came on, tore the place to shreds, we got a handful of DTR family tracks as well, with all three of them on stage The highlight of the show for me was easily how humble and excited all of three of these guys were about the turn out (probably about 250 kids--sold out) and the enthusiasm of the crowd. They were all so grateful and performed their asses off with huge smiles on their faces.

Sims also has a False Hopes with him on tour. It is ill. Pick it up. And get Never Better, goddammit. It's so good.

I am a little bit dissapointed actually.
I had really high hopes for the album, but after a couple of listens I wouldnt say I like it.
Its sounds a little too busy for my taste.
Im gonna give it a real shot though, its one of those album you wanna like because of the artists earlier work.
