anyways, i heard thou shalt always kill on the radio oneday and it blew me away. very effective, and its got a great buzz with the underground and indy scene. a pretty interesting move sage, glad u didn't stick with a anti-UK bias.

I haven't been anti-UK in general. I am anti-UK in specific.

I am anti many things in specific.

But these guys are doing it right and I'm really proud to have them on the SFR roster.

SO WELCOME THEM TO THE TEAM!

haha

Also, the video is working. Not sure why you got that message. I just checked it again.

seen. i originally put the wink emoticon after the anti-UK comment but then erased it for the cheesy factor. since my crew the Delegates of Culture are based in the UK i've always thought highly of hiphop from the isle, so i just wanted to to give props for recognizing some specific talent. ima try and check the video again though it prolly didn't work cuz i'm Canadien.

Is Inja still going?

I really liked this Delegates of Culture cd I got as a freebie, his stuff in particular.. I also heard some other tracks on some Suspect Packages compilations.

In fact I'd be pretty interested to know what any of you guys are all doing. I really liked that cd now I remember it, I'm gonna listen to it tonight when I get home! (especialy the track with the same beat as 97 Mentality)

Thanks for making me waste an hour of my life and feel utterly embarrassed of my country.

I heard Thou Shalt Always Kill the first time it was posted here. I liked it, but I feel like a mental dwarf around the music intellectuals here, so I didn't say anything. Let's just say that the forum wasn't quite so welcoming in that thread, though you can see the early excitement from Sage. I bet he was already working on something then.

Nothing was worked out between anyone until about a month ago. They approached SFR to release their Angles album in the US and Canada and my major reference point to them was the thread you're referring to.

Another coincidence is that while we were in the middle of securing the deal, Sarah Coleman (Inkmole) emailed me telling me that I should really check out Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip's new album. She's never pushed any music on me before, and it I was happy to respond with, "Already on it!"

It seems like a bunch of great ideas had all come together at once, but we're in a crunch period right now as the set up time for this release is relatively short.

Back to the grindstone I go...

Their label in the UK is called Sunday Best.

Lex had part in releasing the single but not the album.

I can't say it enough, but I'm glad we've been given the opportunity to release an album of this quality and caliber in our home territory. We're offering a slightly different version than the one Sunday Best has released. We've got a different tracklisting and one extra song (1rst Time We Met Musik) which incidentally is a top 3 favorite track of mine on the album. Dan le Sac is a brilliant producer according to the soundscape of this project.

Doesn't Scroobius Pip already post on here?

Can't remember seeing the name anywhere, but for a long time he has listed Sage as one of his major influences.

I just assumed he would be here, albeit under a different name.
