I wanted to offer a HUGE thanks to all of those who voted on or otherwise supported the KnowMore.org Firefox Extension. Thanks to YOU – we are one of this year's 21 Featured Projects!
We plan to build and then share a beta version of the extension at the 2008 NetSquared Conference (May 27th-28th), where we will also be competing for a share of $100,000! All of the money we win will go to help fund the nonprofit, KnowMore.org. I am also especially excited about meeting all of the other amazing mashup participants – Congratulations! This is going to be one wild ride!
We are also on the hunt for a XUL developer (aka a Firefox extension developer) who can help us take this project to the next level. Read more about our project proposal here and if you're interested in helping (or you can recommend someone who might be) – please email me at joe@engagejoe.com.

This is exciting. I wish some of our more tech-savvy posters could write up this news or when the extension is released write up an an article and submit it to slashdot.org. If the article were accepted, it would create a LARGE amount of publicity for knowmore among the tech community. You could see a rise in very tech savvy and socially progressive people getting involved with the process. |
