Sage and B. Dolan - Tribu Festival in France May 30th  Reply with quote

more details to come soon, here's a description of the festival:

The 10th edition of the Tribu festival will take place from 26th of May
until 1st of June It is not properly speaking a "Poetry Festival", it's
rather a music festival in which poetry can also be programmed. The
first edition of Tribu Festival took place in 1999. The festival is now
considered as a major event in Dijon and the Burgundy life. It is mainly
made of documentaries and films, musical meetings and of course concerts
and after-parties.

During one week, The Tribu Festival uses various cultural places in
Dijon. The audience discovers a musical panel within jazz music,
traditional music, or electronic music and hip-hop. By the way, in Dijon
there are 200 000 inhabitants, in which 40 000 are students, so that
you can have an idea of the context of our place.
This is also an important aspect of this event, we have a preference for
venues with small capacities ( in general between 250 and 1000 people
max.), to keep this close link between the audience and the artists.
Every year, we book not only artists & band on tour, but also we produce
what in france we call "Creations", which consists in initiating meeting
between different musicians, offer them to have a week of work here in
Dijon, at the end of the week they usually give a concert, and then the
booking section of our festival, tries to put up a tour for these
special and exclusive projects. For example, we had Byard Lancaster
Trio and Jalal Mansur Nuriddin from the Last Poets (2005), Arto Lindsay
and dj Diplo (2005), Issa Bagayogo and Doctor L (2006), Le Tigre des
Platanes and Etenesh Wassié (2007)...
