Prolyphic and some of the members of Poorly Drawn People are the only ones I recognize. If I'm not completely broke, this may happen. I think Prolyphic is way neato.

PDP needs to make a west coast run.

Sooner than later, gawd willing. But we need to do some heavier east coastin' before that.

But I am pleased to hear that attendance would definitely be above zero.

The show this weekend should be fun, fast-paced, with a very variable tone. Hopefully something for everyone... and free music for everyone too.

i'm in the process of mixing the last remaining songs for the cd we're giving out. i just wanted come in here to say that prolyphic absolutely murders the verse he contributed to a track with storm.

if all parties involved are game, i think i may post this online before the show.

Is Poorly Drawn People a Badly Drawn Boy tribute band?

yes. sadly, there isn't a big market for hip hop covers of him here, though.

Partially. So far we only do songs from the "About A Boy" soundtrack, with some BDP covers mixed in for a smattering of gulliness.

Hold up there, Napster. The absolute worst possible thing you can do after recording and mixing a track is to release it out into the world. It not only takes away from the underground nature of the song, but so many artists in the mainstream are doing it, the practice has frankly become very cliche. Its better to just never allow songs to be heard at any time or in any format, to preserve their mystery and realness.

Science.

I wish I woulda asked you about it before I went.. but I was runnin around all day yesterday.

The show was pretty good, though it could've used a sound check.

Pro came on and killed it. He's got fire in him. I can only imagine how he'd rip it in front of a larger crowd...

Radix was dope. They rock with energy. Good local hiphop.

PDP was hype as always, they ended up coming on pretty late, and the crowd thinned out by the time thay came on/ but they got pretty nasty despite of that...
I wish Storm and Pro would've did "Run Boy", but maybe another time...
The highlight of the set was Storm rocking "the Illest it Gets" over a sped up "Apache"(?) at breakneck speed. Funky as fuck.

Had a good time... and I'm sure it would have been better with some of y'all there.

Props to Kese for coming thru and sticking it out til the end, and to the couple of lurkers who said they found out about the show from here.

Not my finest hour onstage, but everyone else on the bill was on point and made for a fun and fast-paced evening.

"Run Boy" next time. It just wasn't real-world-ready yet. Prolyphic delivered top notch as always, and gets more amped with every show.

Glad you dug the "Illest" version. Is was the "Apache" instrumental flipped up spectacularly by Dox.
