anyone here go to the MF Doom show in SF last night? I didn't but everyone is saying it wasn't him on stage, some fill in lip synced for about 20 minutes before he ducked out the back door. I guess after that people started throwing bottles and yelling refund or some shit.
there is suppose to be another show tonight, I'm glad I didn't buy tickets to that shit now.

I guess all that matters is a bunch of naive (or trusting) show goers wave their arms like they're in the zombie version of 8 Mile while his music is blasting out of the speakers. That's what the argument boils down to. Whether it's genius, lazy, wrong or awesome. The crowd is there for the music...they get the music...and they see someone...and they wave their arm...whammo...solid indie-hop show. |

it is true, the show tonight has been cancelled and the independent does not seem to be refunding anyone's money.
I heard this from dude who djed the show, I guess his friends were in the crowd and couldn't hear. Went up to the sound man and asked to him to turn up his mic, soundman said "his mic is not on" |
