Between "Civil Disobedience" not being a song, and of course the reviewer's indepth and intellectual conclusion about what else is offered in "hip-hop culture," I'd say his relevant points and opinions are completely shot down by the fact that I have no interest in what he's talking about.

I also would like to know what Sage thinks of the guy's review.

The points made about Underground for Dummies and Midgets & Giants are pretty easy for me to understand, and I appriciate his ability to call one track absolute trash while still giving Sage very respectable props as a songwriter, but for some reason I didn't think the review brought much else than "he's good but he's also kinda bad."

Meh.

i can see where this guy is coming from, (most) his points are pretty legit. you don't have to agree with his opinion, but they are rational.

hmm I really like underground for dummies
also I think got up this morning is one of sage's best
but what do I know
in fact I think the new album ( which has not been discussed enough on here imo) shows the most versatility of any of his projects

what's really poop is how this thing gets all the attention while this other article goes pretty much unnoticed

fantastic article by Remix Magazine. At least they have an angle.

A bad review is a bad review. Whatever.

What bothers me is people who skip tracks. Fucking ADD generation. Listen to the entire album as a work of art. Another reason why CDs/mp3s suck: they encourage track skipping.

I'm half with you and half not.
Albums that flow all the way through are my favorites, but this album is a tour de preceptions, and I don't like to feel everything at once all the time.

The way I feel about this review is, everyone expects everything they like about an artist to be conveniently wrapped into one catchy display.

"I'm a political consumer, why isn't this a Makeshift Patriot album?"
"I like stories, why aren't all the songs more like Andy Kaufman?"
"I'm a monkey, why am I not dancing?"
"I like being all emo, why aren't my wings broken?"
"I like love songs about whores, where's Zan?"
and ect ect ect.

This is what I like about you, almost any mood I'm in, you've already got it mapped out somewhere in the album.
