The freestyle session with Apathy was the first time I heard Sage. This was sometime in early spring 2001. Like most others has said, I was hooked from then on. Good times.

His first "sick of waiting..." series...I was into downloading then...Now it makes me feel like I'm cheating...Now I buy...

Oh...Sage and other artists have made me think, even sparked emotional changes...But no song will ever change my LIFE...Or will it...

But not as of yet...

Okay, so there might have been a slight bit of hyperbole when I said Sage Francis changed the entire course of events of my life. Truth is though, he instilled in me the aspiration to be the best damn emcee/producer there ever was. And when I get to be that, I will have no one to blame but myself.

Think it was swedish fish off of the sick of waiting tables album.
Followed up by downloading all the available AOI tracks on mp3.com,
and finally buying everything I can get my hands on :)

i got put onto sage after seeing his scribble battles. i downloaded his music and was a little dissapointed he wasnt an arrogant asshole dropping punchlines like his battle shit ive seen but than i downloaded that track where he says something like "her doorman and i are on a first name basis" and felt it. i copped the first 2 sick of cds and was very impressed, they were fun. than pj dropped and i realised how much i liked sages music. i copped the waging war cd when it dropped later too.
